Switching gears here for a moment, today is Bart Starr’s 85th birthday. in honor of one of the greatest players in Packer and NFL history, and having been fortunate enough to meet him in person on a few occassions, one of the kindest and most decent people the sports world has ever seen, here’s to wishing Bart Starr a Happy Birthday. May God bless Bart Starr.

Best of luck to Matt Lafleur as the Packers’ new Head Coach.

I found it interesting that Gute said Rodgers had a roll to play in hiring Lafleur. He even had AR call his new HC to be. A lot of the press con revolved around AR. Lets all hope the big chip is back and #12 makes the league take notice again.

As long as Leotis is here it's not going to happen. He talks about him a lot all in negative ways. Why he does it who knows. I don't think Kirk ever threatened him that I know of.

Anyone know why the Packers took CHTV’s press credentials away? I have to think it’s because they aren’t ass-kissing toadies. It’s a shame, because I think Aaron asks very intelligent, out-of-the-box questions and offers a unique perspective on things.

Pretty sure you just answered your own question there...

I'd have to agree JS. CHTV is unique in that it lets it's posters say how they truly feel with minimal censorship. I have a feeling the Packers don't like that, if you ever check out their official site, their writers don't question anything the team does at all. They're like puppet writers. And their Q&A box is usually reduced to smart alec remarks and assinine anecdotes for responses. Only thing imho their site is good for is injury reports, roster identification, and player interviews. It's really not the best place for posting though. However if you want all your Packer news from the perspective of looking through rose colored glasses then the official Packer site is for you. Personally I come to CHTV for the unique perspectives and intelligent debate and commentary amongst Packer fans, not to be spoonfed a bowl of shit cereal disguised as sunshine flakes.

I came here after being shadow banned at Packers.com for my now world famous "Looks like Jesus plays like Jordy" phrase I made up in August to describe Kumerow in the preseason. Simply mentioning Kumerow looking like Jesus by me was enough to "rock the boat" over there. I couldn't believe it but they did. I then came here and while you do have the freedom to say more things, I noticed the people and how they talk is no different than over there. Most people here are just the same. All positive rah rah types. I noticed when I first got here Taryn was getting destroyed by everybody simply for having a different voice and wasn't the rah rah type. The majority of you are believe it or not. The same as Packers.com. The reason is simple. Most of you are scared of getting dislikes. Get rid of the dislike and like feature here and you will notice people actually voicing their true opinions. 100% guaranteed!! To me this like/dislike feature is immoral and a form of social bullying. It's time has come to end it so people can simply voice an opinion and not be judged. It's time people, it's time!!

The likes and dislikes only have as much power as you give them Dash. Who cares who likes or dislikes your posts? Just say what you want. I use the likes and dislikes as a way of gauging how many people have viewed what I said. I don't really care if they agree or disagree with what I say.

I have to completely disagree with CHTV being just like packers.com though. We have a lot more commentators than just Taryn that put out hard truths and unpopular opinions. However, we are all Packer fans who WANT the Packers to WIN we just get frustrated as hell when they keep getting in their own way and shoot themselves in the foot for 8 years straight!

i generally agree with your comment Rak47; however, i would say that, on his mid-week chats, Mike Spofford has posted a few questions which can challenge the dominant narrative.. i think he is a smart guy, and i am not ready to put him in a box. on the other hand, Wes Hod has just come across as such a company man that i stopped reading his stuff.
