Lazard was decent last year for literally 1/3 of the year and MVS was garbage. It was (still is?) entirely reasonable to be worried about the lack of weapons for 12. Let's not forget that Lazard caught 4 balls, as did MVS, and MVS dropped two easy ones. He remains very much a projection, and Lazard is athletically limited.

Let's also not forget that the Vikings were breaking in an entire new CB room, none of whom are over 24. In a season that had no practices before mid-July and no preseason games. That was not an NFL level defense we faced on Sunday.

Caution is still warranted, which doesn't mean I didn't enjoy BTFO of the Vikings yesterday.
