#PackersDaily: Free agents here to clean up bad drafts

Aaron chats with Packers fans about the talent level erosion the last few years and how free agency was necessary to fill in holes from some bad drafting.

Earlier this afternoon, I held my daily Packers chat over on our YouTube channel. You can catch the replay below.

Lets draft a player who can say a complete sentence without saying "you know" or " dog" or " I'll play wherever they tell me" or "I'm a team player" or " I don't care about stats just winning"

I used to like Haha, but listening to NAGLER today, it reminded me of the time that thin-skinned snowflake Haha blocked me on Twitter as he did Nagler!

I can't wait for opening night in Chicago and I hope we torch him for 4 or 5 touchdowns against the Vic Fangio-less defense!

Why the hell do you care about their speech patterns as opposed to their play on the field and their work in the community? If that's so important to you go watch Billy Turner's interview, I bet you'd just love him regardless of if he can play or not.

No one can deliver an emphatic “NO” like Nagler.

Grading Lewis based on last year's shit show to any degree is the definition of unfair. His remarks given how frustrated he must have been, were tame and actually compareds to so many others, almost professional.

Doug,
Love your enthusiasm for Hock! LOL!

I am sure he would be a good player. Be interesting if it happens and if it does where he is available.

For all the folks critical of the FA signings, it is so true that there was no alternative but to get some decent players on board before the draft. The roster was weak after TT's many draft misses. You may not like the money or one of the players but this was remedial work. With some decent luck in the draft this will be a far stronger team with a defense that can actually make stops and carry its weight.

Hawg.....who was the Director of college scouting during this time?

The GM doesn't make these decisions alone or in a vacuum. If the head of scouting says the guy is worth being picked at a certain point, why doesn't he share the blame if the pick doesn't work out?

It was shrewd dealing by Gutekunst. Solid targets and no overpay for damaged goods.

Hawg,
Right on!

It was such a sad turn of events to see the team get so run down in terms of talent, loss of talent in the front office with everyone leaving to other teams, and in terms of poor coaching on the field. Still mind blowing to me that Murphy sat so long watching. Even more confusing to me is why so many on here take Rodgers to task for forcing the issue of getting rid of MM and company. Rodgers did this organization a favor and it really is all on Murphy.

FA signings and this upcoming draft along with last years draft will really position the Packers to be a very solid team with a high possibility of being in the playoffs. Loving what Gute/Murphy/Pettine and now LF are doing to the team to turn this dissaster around.

You know what. You hit it on the head. I'm going to go out and bag a Rodgers Jersey this year to add to my wardrobe of #4...#5....#15. I have always admired the guy fron his days at Cal and his blog from the GreenRoom---very funny guy.
