#PackersDaily: Can the O-Line Hold Up?

The Packers offensive line is badly beat up. Can it hold up against the Bears talented defensive front? Aaron chats with fans about that and all things Packers during Bears Week.

Earlier this afternoon, I held a special Packers chat over on our YouTube channel. You can catch the replay below.

Be sure to subscribe if you'd like to participate in future chats. You can also use the #PackersDaily hashtag on your social media accounts if you'd like to submit a question prior to the start of the chat each day.

Survey says no. Anything is possible in this NFL. So we will wait and see.

I’d take away the very last word of the headline and then answer “yes”!

BG needs to beef up the O-line in the off season. This will get our offense going again as Rodgers will be protected and running lanes will improve

There will be at least two solid OL guys that will be able to contribute as rookies in 2nd and third round. Think you still need Brian Bulaga to play and get spelled. Spriggs looks like he isn't going to cut it. He has two games left to earn a roster spot next camp.

The good news is that Lane Taylor's ankle might be healed up enough for him to play against the Bears. The bad news is that Lane Taylor's ankle might be healed up enough for him to play against the Bears.

Even when healthy this offensive line was awful. Sans Bahk and Linsley and when Bulaga can stay on the field (rarely), you have two below average guards and the scrap heap that is backup RT. Needs for next year include three new starting O-lineman. Good luck with that.

Was J Evans ever considered? If not, huge slip up from Gute.

Jahri Evans played well early last season but really struggled at the end. He's been a free agent all year and no team (including the Packers) have given him a call, and at 35 his career is undoubtedly over.

Maybe two linemen, but I think three o-linemen in one off season is an awful lot.

Maybe. With the right coaching, one new starter may already be on the roster (Pankey, Patrick, Murphy, Light, de Beer, Siragusa) possibly Madison if he ever gets his head on straight. Then you have trades and free agency.

Regardless, they need a huge overhaul of the OL before they can expect to be playoff or SB contenders again.

The only chance is up tempo offense, quick passes, screens, slants, and getting the running game going.
