A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..... there once was this tiny little town that had a football team that won championships and won tons of football games in between, always competitive, exciting to watch, then the dark force washed over, the team a shell of it's self, struggling to win, and it's fans watching with gnashing of teeth........
What became of them? Will they ever get the force back? Luke,Luke, help us in our dark times and help us regain the force of carrying the G!

Well, I have finally come to an inevitable conclusion on Matt LaFleur. His decision to not immediately replace the incompetent Joe Barry as DC was the last straw.
MLF is still an OC masquerading as a HC. He can't make the tough decisions and his ego is more important than winning. I guess he gets that from his incompetent, tenured President, Mr Mark Murphy.
The entire NFL now knows that GBs record under Matt LaFleur was primarily due to the Rodgers/Adams connection. Without that connection, subpar coaching on defense didn't matter because Rodgers could always find a way to win most games. Throw in dreadful special teams, and it was these 2 players keeping the team on top. But that was then, and this is now.
It is absolutely false that Barry cannot be replaced with Jerry Gray right now, in midseason. The ONLY reason that MLF won't do it is that it would expose another bad/stupid hire on his part. Lets face it - Joe Barry is this years' Mo Drayton. How much worse could it be to put Gray in charge? The Secondary is fine and wouldn't suffer. But maybe a DC with some balls might find a scheme that makes his front seven successful? That's not Joe Barry, in this universe anyway...
If MLF is not careful, his ego will make him unemployable as a HC in the NFL if his lack of urgency and ego already hasn't. Even with his gaudy record from 2019-2021, 2022 has exposed him as just a lucky HC who had Rodgers and Adams together. I suspect as Mark Murphy won't take the fall for this disaster of a season, MLF may be on thinning ice?
Its time for MLF to grow a pair, send Joe a "Packin", and replace him with Gray. Consider it an audition for Gray. In this way, MLF can save some face by promoting from within and not have to look outside for a DC. However, if Zimmer or Fangio were available...?
