Get ready for a hot one.
From Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune:
BREAKING | The Saints will play the Packers at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, multiple sources told the Times-Picayune's @JeffDuncan_.

This is obviously less than ideal, but the show must go on.
As Duncan notes, there were no closer venues to New Orleans available that day, as Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Houston's NRG Stadium both host NFL games, and the home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas, has a concert scheduled.
The game will remain a 4:25 pm est kickoff broadcast on FOX.

Conditioning will be a factor. The New Orleans dome is air conditioned. Lots of heat and humidity in Jacksonville.
By my count, 20 of 22 starters(19 if you count Patrick) didn't play a snap in the pre-season. Practice is one kind of conditioning. Game play is another.
We'll see if Matt LF's 'don't play the starters' gamble pays off or hurts the chances.

Good point, but MLF and company dont play starters because of risk to injury. Every time I read an NFL starter got hurt during preseason, I was glad our guys sat. Dont you wish Jordy wasnt in that preseason game way back? And it's now 2 weeks off between last preseason game and the regular season! We'll be fine.
I dont think blaming a loss to the Saints on lack of preseason snaps will hold up in court.....!

Why not? If the Saints are 'hardened' while the Packers are trying to find their sea legs it's a loss.
The Bills(an AFC playoff contender) had no qualms about playing the starters, including a guy they signed to a mega-zillion contract a few days before.
The old ball coach was a firm believer that injuries occur to athletes who are tired, not the other way around.
Jordy's injury was unfortunate, but David B.'s injury last year was in practice.

It wasn't exactly the Arctic summer in the Upper Midwest. 45 days of 90F heat index or above. The Meatpackers should be conditioned to swampland temperatures.

The saints only had two pre season games and starters barely played. No player on their team would’ve played a game in 3 weeks so it’s not like they will be in better shape due to pre season game action. Conditioning exercises for each team is what will matter in game 1. Saints also practice indoors.

Should play in GB and then the next two times when and if we play the Saints play in NO. Split the profits from two of the three games and it would seem problem solved!

Isn't the greater Ashwaubenon cheese and sausage festival scheduled for Lambeau Field SW parking for that weekend?

Give it 24 hours for the venue to firm up or just show up on gameday, there will be seats available.
I am considering driving up from Umatilla, but the early September heat and humidity is a consideration...

Not good for the Packers in the heat and no real conditioning from pre season

Heat and humidity shouldn't be a big deal if they prepare for it. Put on uniform and pads, and then get in sauna and make them do 40 Jumping Jack's, and toe touches. Then repeat every four or five minutes and they will be ready!

I think you mean steam bath, hot and humid. Saunas are dry and hot.

Not true!
Real sauna (sownah) goers pour water over the hot rocks to create steam and increase the temperature.

All things being equal, I think Jacksonville provides a better opportunity for Packers fans to turn this into a “home” game. Considering what just happened to New Orleans and the surrounding area, not sure how many Saints fan will make the trip to Jax. Will be interesting to see what the crowd make-up ends up being.
