Packers vs. Vikings - 2017 Game Predictions from CheeseheadTV.com

The CheeseheadTV Staff give you their predictions for the upcoming Packers vs. Vikings game.

 GAME PREDICTIONS - 2017 Week 16

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Name Record   Pick Prediction
Andrew 10-4 Minnesota Vikings 27-17
No Aaron Rodgers, no Davante Adams. A defense which has been shaky. Against a pretty hot quarterback, with a very good defense, and solid weapons on both sides of the ball. The only thing in the Packers favor is they are at home. I don't think it's enough.
Andy 8-6 Minnesota Vikings 31-13
TThe Vikings defense can be tough to navigate even in the best of circumstances. With No Rodgers or Adams it could get really ugly, really fast. Maybe Green Bay keeps it close for a couple quarters but the Vikings will win easy in the end.
Chris P 9-5 Minnesota Vikings 24-10
Without Aaron Rodgers, the Packers won't be quite as motivated to win this game. Brett Hundley will do his best and it will be close for a while. But in the end, the Vikings win fairly easily.
Chris W 7-7 Minnesota Vikings 24-14
Minnesota brings to the table perhaps the best defense in the league and an offense that ranks in the top ten in multiple categories. They’re a complete team and a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and I just don’t see a path to victory for a Packers team who will be without their quarterback and top receiver, not to mention fielding a leaky defense.
Cory 9-5 Minnesota Vikings 34-9
The Vikings are arguably the best defense in the NFL and they are hungry. The Packers are on the opposite spectrum and are now in preseason mode. This one will be ugly.
David 10-4 Minnesota Vikings 31-17
No Rodgers. No chance. Add injuries to Davante Adams, Nick Perry and a host of others, and things could get ugly in Green Bay's final home game of 2017. That it comes on primetime, on a holiday weekend, against the highly-motivated Vikings has all the makings of a depressing Saturday night. Bah, humbug.
Elisha 9-5 Minnesota Vikings 31-13
I have no idea how this team will respond to getting eliminated. What I do know is that Hundley struggles at home and the defense struggles...well, always. One can only hope that this will be Capers' last home game as Packers defensive coordinator.
Jason 9-5 Green Bay Packers 17-2
We all know how this one is going to turn out but I'll be darned if you'll hear the words come out of my mouth.  Packers score 17 on the dot to pay their final respects to this season, which can end any day now
Jersey Al 9-5 Minnesota Vikings 20-12
What's left od this injury-decimated Packers team is not enough to defeat the 2017 NFC North Champs. Rodgers and Adams out. Matthews, Perry, House, and Randall also likely out. This will be like a Triple-A team playing an MLB team. The weather will keep the score down, but it will never really be as close as my predicted score might indicate.
Michelle 8-6 Minnesota Vikings 21-14
This simply wasn’t the Packers’ year. That’s okay. Next year should be better. This year, the Vikings are the better team.
Ross 11-3 Minnesota Vikings 30-20
Minnesota isn't as good as people think they are, but they're good enough to beat the Packers at home with Brett Hundley.  Hundley's home/road splits continue to go in a very strange direction.
Zach 7-7 Minnesota Vikings 17-13
Case Keenum has never played in weather this cold. I think regardless of the circumstances, the Packers compete and ultimately emerge victorious in the end, it’s just going to be a tall task to ask Brett Hundley to have success against this defense.

Really wanted to beat the Queens, but, once AR got shelved, our hopes faded. Huntley has played bad(very bad) at home this year and now his go-to guy is out.

Top this off with a depleted and already bad D...... this isn't going to end well on national television.

Only way the Pack have any chance in this one is if the Vikes turn the ball over numerous times. -- It won't happen.

This game will be the perfect example of why GB needs major off season changes.

Minn. 34 --- the Pack 17

I agree with the entire post, right down to that last two charactors "17". I'm not so sure the Packers can score 17 points against that defense with Hundley.

ANY chance of winning is the Vikings are looking ahead, it's pouring rain and sleet which turns to snow by the 3rd quarter, and the Packers have been watching the 2012 playoff loss to the 49ers and they Kapernick their ass.

Lots of Negativity here. Thats what MM has been talking about. Were not playing for draft status. Were playing for what should be a win. Eye for eye ,tooth for a tooth. Much to prove besides just jumping on the band wagon. Screw the change. We still have guys that know how to play football. Football is about Team. Support them, or GO TO HELL! Ugly is a word for purple. The bears SUCK. I for one will cheer them on! I can't control what management does. I can only support my favorite players and TEAM. The image of Packer football is were going to beat you. It's christmas time. It's magical this time of year. A packers win would be terrific. Voice your support. Be Positive!

He didn't say he was cheering for the barelies. Ruin the queens chances make them earn everything. If we lose don't roll over for anyone. Make the queens pay a price, it's football.

(Purple is UGLY . The Bears suck.) I will still cheer them on. = edit-= Packers to WIN. How could you take bandwagon etc. and point out I was a Bear Fan. Do you work for the Grinch. ? Or just another that wants to dislike anything wrote. The upper comments also say this will be a ugly game. Suck was used to describe the defense in other posts.

Packers 24 Vikings 21 , the weather slows down the Vikings offense and the Packers pound the ball and Hundley runs wild .

I expect the Packers to play a good, clean game unlike the Vikes. Even though taking out Rodgers cost them a shot at the playoffs. I expect a good clean game even though they cost the Packers
Playoff money. I expect a good clean game. Nonetheless, Barr should keep his head on a swivel.

Dome team outside at the end of Dec. It's snowball time and ice cold beer over their heads. The queens are gonna stiffen up in the cold. Packers 13, queens 10.

I can't believe some of the predictions have the Packers getting into double digits! Are you guys on drugs?!

This'll be like the Ravens game. An ugly, fumbling, bumbling comedy of errors. From stupid penalties, to botched substitutions, to injuries, drops and missed blocks, etc.

I hope this is final nail (or second to last nail) in the proverbial coffin for Dom Capers.

I predicted a win in another story, but then I did not realize Adams is out too. So it is up to the running game, and I do not think they will win due to being one dimensional.

Will be cheering the Pack on, but don’t expect a win. I’m from Michigan so really want to beat the Lions. Would like to see some young players get an opportunity . Guys like Clark, Mays, Gilbert to name a few. On a down note, I have to get it off my chest, is Nick Perry ever going to have an injury free season where he can actually get on the field?

I thought the Vikes played a very conservative game almost like the pre season where you dont want teams to get a handle on your real plays you plan to use.
Very little pass plays over the middle to their talented tight ends like they knew they were being scouted and changed it up tonite.
Othrwise it would have been a blow out
