Packers to postpone flag football tournament out of respect for fallen Appleton firefighter

-- The Green Bay Packers will postpone their public safety flag football tournament for another weekend out of respect for the firefighter killed in Appleton this week, per Richard Ryman of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

The team was scheduled to host the "Battle of the Badges" on May 18, which would've been a tournament between eight teams representing various sectors of the local public safety departments. The event was going to raise funds, according to the Packers' release last week.

The firefighter was most recently identified as Mitchell F. Lundgaard. He was killed on Wednesday after responding to a call regarding a medical emergency on a bus. He was a 14-year veteran of the fire department.

Lundgaard was a husband and father of three kids. Donations can be made to the Lundgaard family at this GoFundMe link
