Well, nice that we have to climb a bigger mountain due to luck or capricious NFL, take your pick. Serious leagues don’t skew schedules with this kind of aberration.

Totally against this, especially if it isn't played at a neutral site. An uneven number of games is just stupid, not to mention the lack of concern for players' long-term health. But this match-up is tailor-made for an international exhibition: Mexico, Europe, Antarctica....? And who cares what KC thinks, anyway?

Keep adding games and then follow it up with more playoff teams so that the season will really mean nothing. Greed, can't leave a great thing alone.

The best part is we got to witness the year before the big contract and somehow we didn't send him packing. SMH

Another unnecessary, poorly considered money grab move by the league. How do they decide teams play 9 road games and 8 home games. How is that fair?

The current NFL leadership and owners are capable of screwing up a wet dream. This is ridiculous.

As long as the wet dream doesn't freeze the other team not playing in GB in Jan. will be happy.

I keep thinking how close the vote was to ratify the current contract among the players. The players agents did their clients no favor in pushing this. I hope the owners show some flexibility in roster/PS before this season starts. "This is ridiculous." Yes, it is.

I don’t like that the last game will be NFC/AFC. I like ending with NFC tilts against our division rivals, giving great importance to the results.

Totally agree but the NFL just needs to mess up a good thing. The 16 game schedule has worked out very well for the league and the fans.
Now they throw in an extra game for no other reason than greed. Teams already in the playoffs will rest their starters so it’s likely to be a week of watered down football.
Or it will result in watered down playoffs due to injuries sustained in what will likely be mostly meaningless games.
Thanks, Since ‘61

Isn't corporate greed wonderful?
This addition has the aroma of forcing teams to play more games overseas.

Like most of us, I don’t like it. But “corporate greed” gave us the product in the first place. If the market gets saturated and fans turn away then the NFL will regret this decision. That’s how markets work. I will bitch about the extra game but probably still watch it.
