Packers Running Back Eddie Lacy Interested in Training With P90X

TMZ is reporting that Eddie Lacy reached out to P90X creator Tony Horton to help train him. Horton has previously trained Ray Lewis and Paul Ryan.

Lacy's camp has confirmed that the two have talked and Horton has said,

"The Packers will get him ready for the season. My job will be to get the weight off and help him eat better."

No deal has been reached at this time.

lol.

In all seriousness, this is very good for Lacy and for the Packers. I have used P90X and I'm telling you, it works. Tony Horton knows his stuff.

This is a good sign. No joke. I hope he actually goes through with it.

Hope it works for him. A little disconcerting that Lacy didn't take things serious enough to take care of himself. True pros take care of their bodies and maximize their potential so that their careers are long and productive. If it doesn't come from within, then you gotta wonder.

This is a good sign that lacy is getting it. I hope he does it. I saw what it did to mike golic when everybody at espn was doing it. Imagine a leaner, stronger, faster lacy. He's got another 6-7 years maybe to play in the nfl. With the money he will make he can wait for the fried chicken.

If he can do what LeVeon Bell did and cut his BF%, he's gonna be making a fortune next off-season. Look at how much faster and more agile he was just 3 seasons ago:

It's really a testament to his talent that he's been even moderately successful in such bad shape. He could be incredible.

Yikes. And I watched his ROTY highlights, Adams highlights, Cobbs highlights and Rodgers highlights too.

ALL of our skill players on offense crapped the bed this year. All of them.

The only explanation is that coaching structure. PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS MM!

If he comes to camp in great shape, contract year no less, look out!

Contract years bring out the best in everyone. A motivated Lacy might be the push that gets this team over the hump.

The notion the P90X has anything more to offer than an NFL Conditioning and Nutrition staff is a bit ridiculous! I think Eddie may be an emotional eater due to some early life traumas? A behavioral therapist is probably what he needs, not some over hyped fitness program.Just sayin....

What your body looks like and how much you weigh is %80 determined by what and when you eat. The other %20 is exercise and activity. No one can seriously tell me the #27 isn't active enough at his young age! Lol. Come on man!

If Lacy can balance his diet with his conditioning program he'll be fine. But if he doesn't control what he eats and when conditioning will not bring about the desired results by itself. Thanks, Since '61

I'm sure Lacy is inspired by Paul Ryan.
