Packers Question of the day - What to Watch Against Dallas?

Now at the end of your work week and a mere two days from the Packers kicking off their week six affair with the visiting Cowboys, excitement is high.

While the home team may be down a guy or two at running back, the Cowboys come into the game with the NFL's best rushing attack. Of course, coincidentally, the Packers own the NFL's best run defense.

What other match-ups are you looking forward to seeing unfold on Sunday?

Our O line has gotten so overlooked in this game. They're just a hair below Dallas's in ability. Can the Dal defense get off the field? I don't think they're any better the NYG defense.

Dak, Zeke, and possibly Dez can't score from the bench.

Maybe that can happen, but still Packers win! And that stat is the most important. There is no SB title for outplaying opponents...

I want to watch ....a running back in the backfield. If Starks and Lacy can't go and our plan is to put Rip Cobb And Monty back there someone should get fired. I know absolutely nothing about this Jackson guy but he has to be a better option.

I have a feeling they will be bringing Jackson up.

With Lacy hurt, Starks hurt, they need another RB.

Rush defense vs Cowboys rush offense is the obvious one.
With the rush defense how do the Packers defend the read option and the pass plays they run off of that? They have done really good against the Seahawks the last few times, can they keep that up?

Offense for me its the passing game that I will be watching. Will they finally get into a rhythm for 4 quarters?
Does McCarthy rotate players in like he did the first few drives against the Giants? Does he get more players involved, using more formations and creating mismatches?

I don't like how the Packers matchup against the Cowboys at all. I worry that the Cowboys will grind down the Packers Defense and limit the Packers offense by keeping them off of the field. This combined with Rodgers tendancy to waste possessions by thorwing the ball deep instead of getting first downs and keeping the ball and the defense resting is not good.

I look for three things...

1) Coach M to come up with a winning game plan. He often surprises in big games.
2) DBs to hold on to interceptions. Turnover stats need to come up our way.
3) QB1 to start regaining form. I don't think he's dramatically stepped back physically so his struggles are fixable.

Oh, and a 4th. After the above happen maybe we can tone down the fire everybody rhetoric. I do believe that Slocum should be rehired and then fired immediately though.

if we keep giving up 15 yards of field position per punt and kickoff, we will have a very hard time winning.

Don't worry COW soon your Vikings will be turning back into pumpkins and continue their misery as the Packers offense starts to click.

If the offense doesn't play better than last week and against the lions, they'll probably lose. Remember, the only really tough team we played is the Vikings and we.....lost

with Lacy now Q and I heard but did not confirm that Starks' status for Sunday is also in question, who is the Packers RB Sunday?

If Lacy is limited or given single digit snaps, I can't see Rodgers winning this one on his own. He's not that kind of player anymore and hasn't been for quite some time.

Sucks that our best player on offense is questionable. I think he would have had a great day against their F7.
