Packers Question of the Day: Expectations for Sunday

Sunday marks just the second time since 2009 that the Green Bay Packers will host the Baltimore Ravens at Lambeau Field.

The Ravens are one of four teams coach Mike McCarthy is undefeated against. The others are the Browns, Chargers and Raiders. This time, Aaron Rodgers won't be in the picture, but instead, Brett Hundley will lead the charge for the Packers.

What are your expectations for Sunday?

My expectations...

Same old mashed potato mike. He had some success last week getting the team moving in the right direction, so this week he has the gun firmly aimed at his foot.

He will do something to lose the momentum the team gained last week.

I am not a pessimist, but while my faith in Hundley is growing... sloooowly, I think I know exactly who the masher is...

I have no expectations for this game. Having expectations with this current team could be a setup for disappointment. The D still hasn't proven themselves over the season and Hundley is still a question mark.

However, the Bears game has given me a glimmer of hope against so-so teams, which Baltimore is. If the Pack wins Sunday, Hundley continues to improve, the running game is effective without Jones and Monty, Perry and Daniels show up again, and IF the secondary doesn't get shreaded, I will have more hope for games against Tampa and Cleveland. I don't see Hundley and the D winning at Pittsburgh.

After these next 4 games, if the improvements have happened that I mentioned and the Pack is in the plaoff hunt , I hope Rodgers can return. But, if the D shows no improvement, especially against a good offense like Pittsburgh and they once again get shreaded, then dont let AR play, even if he's ready.

I believe this game is a must win. Hundley will blow away everyone this game. His Time has arrived. MM will take off the training wheels. The defense will continue to show problems. It's on Hundley now. Prepare to be impressed. I'm expecting 400 yards offense! And the packers win it on a field Goal.

I believe every game from here on out is a must win, if you want the Pack to make the playoffs.

I expect 400 yards of offense. By the Ravens.

you're saying Hundley will play the roll of AR and take the team on his back.

Expectation for the game? Mashed Potato Mike stares at that laminated Chili's menu he always holds during the game and decides to get onion rings with his burger.

Are you sure about the onion rings? It'll cost him at least an extra $1.99!

This game is a big opportunity for the whole team. To play well in all facets. Progressing on the offense. defense to make stops and get turnovers and play error free special teams. The Bennett release was helpful for like Clinton-Dix said, he quit on the team. I believe Bennett hurt the team chemistry.

So go Pack. Take this opportunity to win. And they do have it as an opportunity. Keeps you in the hunt.

Victory!!! The keys for the Packers will be the play of their OL and for Hundley not to turn the ball over. We need to keep the ball out of Flacco's hands as much as possible. Flacco has been inconsistent this season but he remains a better QB than Hundley and he is still capable of playing a big game.

Flacco does not move very well so strong pressure up the middle should get him off his spot and force him to make some poor throws.

We're going to need to force some turnovers to win this game. Thanks, Since '61

Packers really need to win at least one of the next two games, and with Baltimore coming off bye and Pittsburgh getting the "mini-bye" after TNF, that'll be a tall order.

Turnovers--definitely.

I agree Dobber! IMO we have a better shot at home then on the road but who knows this has been a crazy season around the league. Thanks, Since '61

No turnovers for the Pack and they will win. -- Even one will make the game closer than it should be. -- Face it, you don't have to be a great team to beat the Ravens. -- The real test for the Pack comes later in the schedule, with or w/out AR.

This one is going to be rough. Baltimore is coming off a bye (and I’m sure they took better advantage of this than the bears or the packers). They are also getting a few players back after an early season of decimation. On defense, they play a league leading amount of press coverage, which is probably why they are getting gouged on the ground while tearing apart the passing game. Now that being said, Baltimore has not had great offensive production. If our packers can get the running game going they may just have enough to stay ahead in the points race. However, if our team gets behind I don’t see how it’s possible to catch back up, not against that ball hawking D. This game will end with a double digit point spread either in our favor or our loss.

Packers 24-ravens 20. Big buck hanging in garage by badgers kickoff time and in the tavern for the rest of hunting season. Very bold prediction

Based on what we have seen to date, our offense doesn't have the the ability to score many points. Delusional if you think our defense can stop Ravens. An average QB and a good receiver can score on us. Mitch 297 yards and we'll slow Flacco? As long as we have MM calling his predictable game and DC defense, we're not going to scare anyone. Sorry to burst your bubbles, but we will struugle. Watch closely to see if our receivers get separation? Us stopping 3rd and 7? I hope the Pack plays well and wins. This game is a MUST win. Go my beloved Packers!!

I think Flacco is the most over rated QB ever. He made some big throws during the SB run but that's it. If he played in GB this site and every other would be screaming for his head. Hell, we see people in the past ask for AR's head if he didn't play like he was immortal. The Ravens will lose because they are on the road and the QB play is even, worse in Flacco throws a couple of picks. The Pack will get pressure again today.
