Packers Promote CB Jumal Rolle from Practice Squad

The Green Bay Packers have signed rookie cornerback Jumal Rolle from their practice squad on Friday, filling one of two open spots on their 53-man roster since placing defensive lineman Johnny Jolly and tight end Brandon Bostick on injured reserve last week.

The Packers still have space for one player on their roster, perhaps leaving open the possibility that they could activate wide receiver Randall Cobb from short-term injured reserve in time for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

He's 6-0. Been quite a few years since Ted Thompson has signed a cornerback shorter than 5-11.

Yet again Proving you don't know a damn thing about the Packers! They don't sign CB less than 5'11. Go troll another team. You've already proven over and over and over again you don't know squat about the Packers!

Seattle just got CB Walter Thurmond back off a PED Suspension and cut CB Perrish Cox. Does TT go after CB Perrish Cox for the Practice Squad? He might have some valuable intel on the Seahawks.

I think the whole intel thing is totally overblown.

I don't think he's PS eligible.

Cox has some real athletic ability. Signing a FA from another team to gather info is totally over-blown! Scouts know other teams as well or possibly even better than a player from that team.

If Cox were to be signed, which I doubt since he has off-field issues, it would be to develop him into a quality CB and return man. Bring him in in the offseason to compete for a roster spot and see if he can get his head on straight and put his athletic gifts to good use for a change.

This time of the year the Packers always bring a player they really like up to the 53.
Could Rolle follow a similar path like Tramon Williams? Hopefully.

Is this why the Packers have no Pro-Bowlers?

Yes. Absolutely, you nailed it. EVERYBODY knows that ALL Pro Bowl players are drafted exclusively in the first round. Duh!

Maybe he can play safety? He can't be any worse, right?
