Packers Podcast: Kicking Competition Ends Tonight

With the cutdown date looming on Aug. 27, this will likely be the last game Mason Crosby and Giorgio Tavecchio play together.

On Friday I joined Bart Winkler on K107 in Fond du Lac to help preview Friday's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. We spend time taking a look at what's at stake, considering the infamous result of last year's meeting, but we also take a look at the kicking competition. It's my opinion that this will be the final game that Mason Crosby and Giorgio Tavecchio play together. The Packers have to trim their roster to 75 players by Tuesday Aug. 27, and one of the kickers is likely to be let go. Although that won't necessarily stop them from signing another kicker cut by another team.

Both have to be cut. And their lockers juju must be cleansed before a new kicker is brought in. I feel pretty sure Crosbyitis has gotten in to the head of tavecchio

Get rid of Clubfoot now to prevent future disappointment.

I think Jan Stenerud is available.

regardless of how this ends there will be a ton of second guessing. I don't think I have ever even heard of this much drama around a kicking game.
