Packers Podcast: Green Bay Still Just One Game Out of First Place in Division

On Monday morning I joined Bart Winkler on K107 in Fond du Lac to take a look back at Sunday's 27-13 loss to the New York Giants. We discuss quarterback Scott Tolzien's three interceptions and the overall poor defensive effort from the Packers, but despite the three-game losing streak, the Packers remain just a game out of first place in the NFC North division.

Until they show that they can win a game, it doesn't matter. They have to beat Minny on Sunday. Aaron has to be back for Thanksgiving and they have to run the table... not likely.

i'm not convinced that they can win with this same lineup they had on sunday. there were just too many key players out in the giants game (shields, jolly, hayward, barclay, perry, and add to the mix a one handed clay matthews). they need at least a couple of these guys back in order to have a shot.

the way i see it, we can only afford to lose 1 more game. the lions game will probably be that 1 loss. it was going to be a battle even before rodgers was injured. we're going to have to find a way to beat the queens this week, take our beating on thanksgiving, and then win out the rest of the season- hopefully with a healthy rodgers

Oh, they'll win this one. Tolzein is ready to break free of MM's chains this game. The bad news is it sounds like it's only going to be a high of about 22 degrees. Bitter cold for the passing game and for a runner like Lacy who could be affected playing for the first time in this cold of weather.

Perhaps they might want to use The Buffalo Bruiser a little more for this one simply because he's played in cold weather and snow here for a few years and in Buffalo. I read some where that Lacy has never played in snow or cold weather.

Yes, this is the time of year we would want a good running game but unfortunately we need a good passing game to win this. Tolzein just has one obstacle after another. This time it's the damn weather!! Damn it!! why can't it be 45 and sunny!! Oh well, they MUST get it done and I believe they will. I see Tolzein throwing for 2 td's possibly three in this game!!

I would love to see three TDs from Tolzien! We are gonna need all three of them too because I think we will need 21 points to even have a chance at a victory.

I still foresee our Packers winning 10 games. I also see the Thanksgiving game being a loss, maybe even if AR is back. I refuse to hang up the season until I see a 7 in the loss column. Tolzien must make better decissions with the ball, and continue making those deep throws with success. The running game (i don't care who carries) has to contribute, The defense must hold the Vikes to less than 20 points. I think all of these things are possible.

i can't see the running game working this week. the queens are going to bring 8-9 guys down in the box just like the giants did. if we win this week it's going to be on the arm of scoot's. let's just hope he keeps the INT's to a minimum and no more pick 6's!
