Packers place Darnell Savage on non-football illness reserve list
The rookie first round pick is reportedly expected to be on the field "in a few days."

Before anyone freaks out, this is reportedly nothing serious (he had to have his wisdom teeth pulled) and Savage should be on the field "in a few days."
Still, not how you want one of your first round picks to hit the ground for his first NFL training camp.
Packers first round S Darnell Savage has been placed on the non-football illness list to begin training camp.

Just had his wisdom teeth taken out, I’m told. No football concerns here. https://t.co/7D8726coCt

Advice to Savage: don’t rush back. Take at least a week.

Unfortunately, they pulled out his "wisdom" teeth.

Hope they weren't impacted in jaw (sideways) wisdom teeth. That procedure is more intense then a straight pull, which isn't much of a procedure.

It was a good decision to draft this guy. He is all ready fighting "tooth and nail"?

I hope nobody thinks it's funny to make him laugh. I pulled out all my stitches laughing at a joke when I had mine removed!

I hope this doesn't take the bite out of his game.
