Packers Offensive Line Hurting Heading Into Showdown With Detroit
Five offensive lineman are on Wednesdays' injury report.
By PackerAaron
As if the Packers don't have enough to worry about it.
JC Tretter, who did not appear on the injury report on either Monday or Tuesday, was added to it on Wednesday with an ankle injury.
The o-line walking wounded heading into Detroit are as follows:
T.J. Lang (shoulder) - Questionable
J.C. Tretter (ankle) - Questionabke
Corey Linsley (ankle) - Questionable
Bryan Bulaga (knee) - Questionable
Josh Sitton (back) - Probable
Going to be a fun one in Detroit on Thursday night. You know, where the Packers offensive line has traditionally struggled even when fully healthy.
Good times, good times.

Man. All I can do anymore is just shake my head and go, "Well, I hope it works out somehow."

Walker, Tretter, and Barclay have fared better than the starters in their time anyway. Neither if the bookend tackles have been healthy all year anyway. These guys have either been hurt since week 6 or just started sucking. Even when the line is playing well QB 1 has his eyes on the rush instead of his first 2 reads and the only time something positive happens is when the defense jumps off sides or the back yard ball broken play works with Jones. GOD FORBID you hit a hot read!! Clunky offense is ugly football and that side of the ball sucks!!!

I expect no fewer then 4 arthroscopic surgeries for this group once the season is done.

I guess the defending of a possible or likely loss needed more excuse support and they opted for the Trettor ankle.

The saddest commentary here is that Bakhthiari, our worst OL, is the only one not on the injury report. Thanks, Since '61

They'd have to be too close to the football.

As the season has progressed, it looks to me that Barclay is improving in spot duty. Maybe needed to shake-off the rust.
Looks like Ansah is the by far the Lions biggest threat on the line. Keep Kuhn in to chip on him.
Arod can help the o-line by staying in the pocket. When he gets happy feet, things haven't gone well lately. And if ARod insists on throwing dirt-balls, do it intentionally when there's nothing there. Live another day.
And since when are ankle injuries like influenza? I had no idea they were contagious.
It would be huge if C. Johnson is limited for Detroit. But then I thought the Packers caught a break with Bennett out for the Bears last week and we still lost.

Proving it again. You put down everything there is about the Packers, right down to the announcers. You are a fucking troll, hands down, no doubt about it. You couldn't be found at 6-0.
How about an online petition. All in favor of banning the troll know as cow, say I

I am getting the same vibe from Rodgers as well. When things are going wrong, we don't need Cutler showing up. Start playing better and most of this stuff will go away.

Not sure if this is a must-win game, but it sure feels that way.
Backs are against the wall now, guys. This could be a fun (but frustrating) game to watch. Bring it on.
30-13 game, flip a coin for which team scores what. Either way, Go Pack Go!

That particular play made me scream at the TV. I remember it like it was 10 seconds ago. I yelled throw the fuckin thing away if no one is open. That play was totaly on Rodgers, I'll admit. Unless he was looking for Cobb to break outside and he didn't. By then the safety was breaking on JJ and Janis was one on one with Porter. He should have just chucked it downfield.
DrealynWilliams
December 02, 2015 at 08:18 pm
James Jones couldn't get more open than what he was. That should have been a huge play.
4thand1
December 02, 2015 at 08:31 pm
Yes I know JJ was open, WTF, I don't get it. Its not like he hasn't targeted JJ this year. He's always pulled the trigger on plays like that. And to take the sack after 8 MutherFin seconds?
DrealynWilliams
December 02, 2015 at 08:42 pm
Yea, that's crazy.
But plays like that have some people questioning play calling which isn't right. Like,"How come quicker pass plays aren't called instead" - when there's evidence like that play that proves play calling isn't the issue.

I honestly have the Lions winning tonight and it has nothing to do with a healthy or unhealthy O line. Still after three freekin years has to do with a piss poor pass defense.
Teams aren't running against us because they don't have to. Thus, our D line actually has decent numbers. My take is Capers has our dbacks playing off receivers because they lack the speed and quickness to play man and actually cover them. Especially the ones who are 6'3 or taller.
We all saw the Chicago game, every time they needed to make a big third down conversion they did by passing the ball to wide open receivers. Nothing new to see here.
The problem is now, our offense usually came back and scored to keep the pack in the games. Now without an adequate receiving core, the passing game is in the tank and so is this team.
I have the Lions by 17.

Better get serious about bringing in a conditioning guy who knows what the hell he or she is doing. I still think this team is over weight and out of shape.
I thought Janis was supposed to be fast but he was easily covered going down the sidelines and looked so so speed wise. He also looked heavy.
