Packers Ink Hayward to Four-Year Deal

The Packers signed second round cornerback Casey Hayward to a four year deal Friday.

The Green Bay Packers have signed second round cornerback Casey Hayward to a four-year, $3.3 million deal, according to Adam Caplan of The Sideline View.

Green Bay traded back into the second round to take Hayward, sending third- and fifth-round picks to the New England Patriots for the right to select at No. 62 overall.

Hayward is expected to compete for playing time at cornerback behind Tramon Williams and Charles Woodson.

The steal of the draft. Draftnasty.com a scouting site I like a lot has him as their 21st ranked player right in front of Perry who they rank 22nd on their big board.

Day-yum... Hope they're right! 2 of the 22 best players in the draft is just what our D ordered!

Sherrod was #13 last year, house #50... let's hope they live up to that!

Looking at this year's bb, I still cannot get over the fact Chris Polk went undrafted. They had him #43 on their bb. His agent was on the local station 950 am out here today and said the hip injury thing was unequivocally bogus... Didn't know where it came from. Said there was a shoulder injury that he should recover 100% from. Anywho, long story short, I wish we'd of thrown our sixth or seventh at him. Living near Seattle, I've watched the kid... Philly got an absolute STEAL. MARK. MY. WORDS.
