Packers FB John Kuhn Named to USA Football All-Fundamentals Team

Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn was named to the 2014 USA Football All-Fundamentals team on Wednesday, the team announced on Thursday.

The sixth annual USA Football All-Fundamentals Team recognizes NFL players who employ proper technique, particularly when blocking and tackling, which fosters better on-field performance and advances player safety.

A press release from the team states, "Whether opening up holes as a lead blocker out of the backfield or securing the backside from the slot as an H back, Kuhn can make all the blocks in the run game. His sure hands and ability to maneuver in the flat also make him a capable outlet option in the Packers’ passing game."

Kuhn was the only Packers player named to the team. He will receive a $1,000 equipment grant from USA Football to donate to the youth or high school football program of his choice.

In 2013, Kuhn was also named to the All-Fundamentals team along with Packers defensive lineman B.J. Raji.
