Packers expected to sign inside linebacker De'Vondre Campbell
The Packers are expected to add inside linebacker De'Vondre Campbell, pending a physical. No word yet on a corresponding move, but the team will need to cut someone as they are currently at the 90 man offseason roster limit.

Bravo. And let us rejoice retrospectively that Gutekunst didn't trade up in this year's draft to find a replacement for JK Scott once his leg gives out in 2035.

I looked up his stats and he’s been a starter most of his career, with Atlanta four years and Arizona last season. The Cardinals want to clear the decks for Isaiah Simmons, last year’s #1 pick. I found this article informative:

Good to see that Packers are always trying to get better at every position. He may compete to start at LB or play special teams initially. Competition is always good. He has played in almost all games in his 5 years, and seems durable.

I actually was hoping we would sign him last year when he first hit FA. He is a starter. 90+ tackles 4 straight seasons and hasnt missed a game since his rookie year. And he has great size and moves well at his size.
Im gonna go buy a lottery ticket now

This is the Packers version of going "all in" on the ILB position. Sure, I'd like to see higher priority given to this position in the draft, but at least we acquired an affordable and durable veteran to solidify this group. Hopefully we'll get a little better return than we did from the Kirksey signing.

I don't like this signing. He's a monkey wrench. Not a fix. Give the kids their chance.
