Packers Daily Links: Cobb And Green Attend Rookie Premiere

Rookies Randall Cobb and Alex Green attended the Rookie Premiere trading card event over the weekend. That and more in today's Daily Links...

Rookie wide receiver Randall Cobb and running back Alex Green represented the Packers at the Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles over the weekend, an event attended by select rookies (almost entirely skill position players) centered around posing for pictures for trading cards. Jilane Rodgers, of the group formerly known as NFL Players Association, shared some pictures over Twitter this past weekend of the two new Packers draft choices, Cobb and Green.

Defensive back Jarrett Bush is helping to promote cancer awareness in his native Vacaville, California with an event at the NorthBay Cancer Center on June 2. "Following an autograph session with patients at the NorthBay Cancer Center, Bush will be at Westfield Solano mall near the new Dining Court (use the entrance off Gateway Boulevard) from 3 to 5 p.m. to sign autographs for the general public," according to the Reporter.

Another defensive back participated in a fundraiser to raise money for hemophilia research. Cornerback Josh Gordy led the Trot to Clot event in his native Georgia this past Saturday. "Gordy, from Warthen, Georgia, has close relatives with a bleeding disorder," writes Theresa Waldrop of the StoneMountain-RedanPatch. "Last weekend, he led the East Cobb walk, greeting participants before the event, signing autographs and posing for photographs."

Safety Nick Collins was at a promotional event in Milwaukee this past weekend saying he was enjoying his time off. "A lot of guys like me are enjoying the extra time with their families, and we get to let our bodies heal," Collins is quoted as saying by WBAY-TV in Green Bay. "But you miss being out there with the guys and the coaches, so hopefully they will get a deal soon."
