Packers Coaching in High School: Week 1 Preview

Former Packers Bryce Paup, Randy Wright, Dexter McNabb and Mark Chmura kick off their high school football seasons tonight.

Several former Green Bay Packers are involved in the high school coaching ranks, where the season kicks off today in Wisconsin. Here's tonight's match-ups:

  • Former Packers linebacker Bryce Paup, who is a member of the Packers board of directors, is the head coach at Green Bay Southwest where they host city rival Green Bay East this evening.
  • Former Packers quarterback Randy Wright is the offensive coordinator at Sturgeon Bay. They host Wrightstown in a non-conference game.
  • Former Packers fullback Dexter McNabb is the atheltic director at Pulaski, where he also serves as fullbacks coach. Pulaski hosts Sheboygan South tonight.
  • Former Packers tight end Mark Chmura acts as an assistant football coach at Waukesha West. They host Milwaukee Bradley Technical School.

There are several former Packers that coach at high schools outside of Wisconsin that haven't started their seasons yet.

If you know of any other former Packers that coach high school football in Wisconsin that we may have missed or if those listed have moved on, let us know in the comments.
