Packers Calendar: Waiting for the Rodgers, Lang Injury Fallout

Packers Nation is waiting with bated breath for a Monday afternoon injury update from head coach Mike McCarthy on quarterback Aaron Rodgers and offensive lineman T.J. Lang, a day after they suffered injuries in a 44-28 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Rodgers battled through a tweaked hamstring while Lang had to exit the game with an ankle injury and did not return.

Injuries sometimes have a way of being more serious than they initially appear in the immediate aftermath of a football game, but the Packers quarterback insists he isn't going be inactive for a game any time soon.

"I'm not going to miss any time," said Rodgers on Sunday evening.

Lang, meanwhile, was observed using crutches after the game. His replacement at left guard, Lane Taylor, had a rough showing.

Fortunately for the Packers, the bye week comes at the right time, giving both Rodgers and Lang and several other injured players (Sam Shields, Morgan Burnett, Datone Jones) an extra week to recuperate before their next game.

McCarthy will meet the media for a press conference at approximately 4:15 p.m. CT to be streamed live on
