I've been seeing conflicting reports about the status of Capers' contract.

Is it indeed up or as Jason Wilde suggested does he have two years left?

Capers has to go no question about it. The Pack needs and deserves a more aggresive defensive coach. To get eliminated like that, just like last year is unacceptable. This is a team with all its talent, should be in the playoffs year after year. It's insulting to the fans and the stockholders (to which I am one) to go out in this fashion.

It was Capers aggressiveness that actually hurt them most in this game. He blitzed, left DB's in man coverage with their backs turned to the line of scrimmage and let a running QB sprint un-contested. Capers has also blitzed substantially year-over-year. I don't know why you would call for a 'more aggressive' coordinator.

If anything, ask why he didn't play a contain game with more cover-2 and cover-3 where you force Kaepernick to stay in the pocket and make reads. If anything, the new bread of QB calls for less aggression that could maximize their athleticism and a better scheme to force them through a route tree and make a contested throw.

What do you make of that abrupt ending to that conference? Something about that question about Rodgers' injuries? No "goodbye", "thanks" or nothing.

Gotta love how much McCarthy despises Jason 'drama queen' Wilde.
