Packers Calendar: Rodgers, Cobb to Attend One of the "Best Parties in the World"

The Packers teammates are on the guest list for the Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala on Friday evening.

Oh to be young and wealthy.

Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb will celebrate the end of Phase 1 of the offseason training program—the part that includes strictly strength and conditioning—by attending the posh Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala on Friday evening in Louisville.

Called one of the “Ten Best Parties in the World” by Condé Nast, the Packers teammates will join an array of celebrities from the world of music, movies and sports for a charity fundraiser.

Hosted by twin sisters Patricia Barnstable Brown and Priscilla Barnstable, the charity function has raised approximately $9,600,000 for the Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Research Center at the University of Kentucky over the past eight years. Cobb attended the University of Kentucky.

Both Packers players have attended the same function in previous years, along with Clay Matthews, although the linebacker was not listed on this year's guest list.

Others attending the party at the home of Barnstable Brown include Tom Brady, Miranda Lambert and Kings of Leon.

Elsewhere, former Packers wide receiver Donald Driver is reported to be attending the Unbridled Eve Gala at the Galt House on Friday, according to the local Courier-Journal.

Louisville has become known for several high-profile charity parties on the eve of the Kentucky Derby.
