Packers Calendar: Mike McCarthy Speaks at NFC Coaches Breakfast

At the time of publication, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy was in the midst of a session with reporters at the NFC Coaches Breakfast at the NFL Owners Meetings in Orlando on Wednesday.

McCarthy has touched and will continue to touch on several subjects, including this interesting tidbit from this morning's session:

The NFL Owners Meeting wraps up on Wednesday with the league to vote on several rule changes, the results of which should be learned later in the day.

Elsewhere, the pro day circuit continues on Wednesday with workouts being held a several locations: Texas, Syracuse, Duke, Indiana, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisana-Monroe and McNeese State.

Packers scouts will be in attendance at several pro days watching future pro prospects take to the field in one of their final chances to impress before the NFL Draft.

McCarthy on Brandon Bostick: "He was, in my opinion, our best blocker [at tight end].."

Really? I will have to go back and watch, because I remember him as a really good receiving TE. If he is that good of a blocker maybe I have be devaluating him to much.
I like Bostick a lot. I think he will have a big year.

I expect his role to be dramatically bigger this year and I look forward to some of our TEs playing more of a hybrid role of TE/FB so that they can be that lead blocker for our running backs at times which would help lessen the need for the team to carry a true FB.
