Packers Calendar: Mike McCarthy Celebrity Dinner

The head coach of the Packers will raise funds for the University of Wisconsin's Children's Hospital Sunday evening at the Monona Terrace in Madison.

The head coach of the Green Bay Packers takes a break from Xs and Os for the next two days to concentrate on his yearly charity fundraiser for the University of Wisconsin's American Family Children's Hospital.

Now in its fourth year, Mike McCarthy, along with his wife Jessica, host a celebrity dinner on Sunday evening at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison.

Also attended by current and former Packers players, broadcaster Larry McCarren will emcee the event and McCarthy will give a keynote address.

A recent article by Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel describes McCarthy's charity efforts and this evening specifically: "McCarthy has started writing his speech for the dinner Sunday night. He's still giving it a great deal of thought but he's going with the theme of blessings."

The evening will also include dinner, live and silent auctions, but is sold out. Donations can be made to the Mike and Jessica McCarthy Fund online.

As part of a larger event, McCarthy will also host a golf invitational on Monday in Oregon, Wis.

Dose he NOW have the ammunition?
Is he the weak link in the offense?

I think the run game and oline will be greatly improved this season. But I also think the Pack will still be among the league leaders in sacks. It's just a product of Rodgers' style.
