Packers Calendar: McCarthy Press Conference in Afternoon

The Packers will hold their final practice of the week on Thursday in preparation of the upcoming game on Saturday  in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs against the San Francisco 49ers.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will hold a press conference that can be viewed on the team's official website at 12:30 p.m. Central time.

The Packers enter Saturday's game relatively healthy, at least among their starters. About the only question is if some of Wednesday's limited participants in practice can become full participants on Thursday like wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb and tight end Jermichael Finley.

In the evening, the weekly television program Inside Lambeau will air on the local NBC affiliate, WGBA Ch. 26, at 6:30 p.m. The show is hosted by Wayne Larrivee, the radio voice of the Green Bay Packers, and Greg Matzek, the host of Packers OT on the Packers Radio Network. A list show times on other regional affiliates can be found here.

Over on the radio dial, 1 on 1 With The Boys can be heard at 5 p.m. on 101.FM WIXX in Green Bay and streamed live on the station's website. Wide receiver James Jones and a guest join Murphy and Maino in the afternoon to talk some Packers football.

I read somewhere on the internet that the
AFL allows title game reinstatement from
the IR. Questions. Does the NFL have the
same rule? If the Packers should advance
to the title game, are any IR Packers in
shape to play?

The NFL gave teams one IR designation where a player can be "designated for return" and they used it on Cedric Benson. But he was not ready to go when the deadline came and is now on regular IR. All IR players are done for the year.
