Packers Calendar: James Starks Judgement Day

The Packers have their final day of practice on Friday before they take on the Raiders Sunday at Lambeau Field.

All eyes will be upon running back James Starks who head coach Mike McCarthy said would need to practice Friday if he has any chance of playing on Sunday. Starks is dealing with a nagging ankle injury.

McCarthy will have a press conference following practice to be broadcasted live at 12:30 p.m. on the Packers official website.

In the morning, the radio version of the Mike McCarthy Show airs on 101.1 FM WIXX at 7:50 a.m. in the Green Bay area and can be streamed on the radio station's website.

Sit him. Let Saine get the reps. This offense is not driven by Starks. The weather is not that bad yet. Better to sit him and let him get healed up for the playoffs than to play him on one day of practice. I will not call this a meaningless game, but even if you think this game is meaningfuk I do not think you play Starks at this ponit. Certainly BF played with worse injuries on with less practice time, but he meant a lot mre to the offense.

I agree, Starks should sit this week. This game has meaning for momentum and helping during the playoffs, but this game is not a deciding factor for playoffs. Starks, Hawk, etc. will all be needed during playoffs. Get 'em healthy. While 19-0 sounds awesome, bragging rights don't get rings. 18-1 or 17-2 or even 16-3 is nothing to be ashamed of, as long as the last win is the right one. I'm not even certain Rodgers is a fourth quarter player if there's a decent lead.
