Packers Calendar: Finley Receives $3 Million Birthday Present

It's Jermichael Finley's birthday on Tuesday, and he just happens to be receiving a $3 million roster bonus.

When Jermichael Finley was still on the Packers roster as of 4 p.m. ET on Monday, it ensured he would be receiving his $3 million roster bonus on Tuesday, on the 15th day of the NFL's new league year.

As fate would have it, Tuesday is also Finley's birthday, although that is merely coincidence and had no bearing on when his bonus was paid.

Finley will be paid $8.25 in total salary in 2013, including his bonus. More on Finley comes from yesterday's report from our Zach Kruse.

Elsewhere in the world of the Packers, the pro day circuit continues with several notable events occurring on Tuesday, including workouts Iowa State, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, North Carolina, North Carolina Central, Notre Dame, Southeastern Louisiana and Texas.

Among the universities listed above, Notre Dame is sure to receive a lot of media attention due to the presence of linebacker Manti Te'o.

It hasn't been published which particular pro days the Packers will attend, but they're sure to be represented at several of them.

I hope they put the duct tape and velcro on you. I like Finley just how he is.

"Finley is what Finley is and likely will be forever no matter his destination in the NFL.Potential is his calling card and his production will be as like the product being bought from the now defunct career trade of ‘door-to-door’ salesmen, with the purchaser scratching their heads in an attempt to figure out why the item was purchased at all".

This was part of my comment to a PackersTalk post on Nelson and Finley needing to step up.

Captivating piece - Much more sophisticated than the drivel littering the JSonline comments section . I sincerely hope that you copy this response to every jermichael Finley post in the Packers blogosphere as nobody has expressed this same exact point with such brevité.

JF is easily the least liked player on the club- fan wise. Talks too much, and at times couldn't even catch a cold. Now he "loves" his expectations? Don't know how STROH can like this guy how he is. He has everything to prove. I say trade him ASAP if he isn't absolutely outstanding. His "year of the takeover" is still hard to forget, and whenever I see him throw his arm out to signal a first down as if he's the most thrilled guy on the field- he makes me cringe. Do you see garbage men high fiving when they empty a can into the truck? No- because it's their job, and what they're paid to do.

Did you also dislike whenever Driver did his first-down shimmy?

Just wondering.

You can't drop 3 then catch one and start up your best Mark Gastineau..Doesn't look good..You can't compare DD to Finley man. Have no beef w/ getting stoked on a good grab-DD made em more than anyone else-Finley is no Driver. Now Finley and Moss- compare away.
