Whether or not Green Bay Packers center Jeff Saturday will retire this offseason appears to fittingly depend on which day it is.

On Thursday, Saturday said that he would wait until after the Pro Bowl to talk with his wife and family about the decision to end or continue his NFL career. He also said that he hadn't yet made a choice either way.

"As soon as this game is over, we'll make that final call," Saturday said. "I'll sit down with my wife and family, and hopefully we"ll come to a decision."

On Friday, however, that tune changed.

Appearing on 1070 the Fan in Indianapolis, Saturday announced that he would be ending his career with Sunday's Pro Bowl.

“We’ll finish it with sunsets in Hawaii and call it a much better career than I would have anticipated,” Saturday said on the Grady and Big Joe Show, via Pro Football Talk.

Saturday spent just one of his 14 NFL seasons in Green Bay, where he earned his sixth Pro Bowl selection. However, the veteran center was benched before Week 16 in favor of Evan Dietrich-Smith because of ineffectiveness and injury.

The Packers signed Saturday to a two-year, $7.75 million deal last March, but he wasn't expect to be back in 2013.

Maybe by Saturday, we'll have a more clear and formal answer from Saturday on his retirement status.
