I wrote about his workout yesterday, and now Dexter Williams is re-signing with the #Packers today, according to a source.https://t.co/8ztRFe7wBm

Packers fans will remember Williams as a former 6th round pick who could never quite put it all together his first time in Green Bay.
Williams has been with four other NFL teams since the Packers moved on in 2021. Most recently, he played with the Philadelphia Stars in the USFL.
This signing is all about getting through a preseason where Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon will undoubtedly be in street clothes and needing depth at the running back position to get through the games.
The Packers will need to release someone as their roster was at the 90 man offseason limit. No word yet on who that might be, but expect the team to announce it soon.

Looks like camp filler, but tape for him if he can get on the field. It makes sense. He knows the O, Plug and play RB to eat up snaps.

Sounds like they can let a long snapper go.
Maybe Williams can do that at least as well as them.

He was too good to cut before and I hope he sticks this time.

7 rushes for 19 yards 0 TDs over 2 years.
Too good to be cut? If he makes the 53 or even the PS I'd be shocked.

He probably has a handle on the offensive scheme.

Could surprise but more than likely he is camp fodder. Thanks, Since '61
