Packers Annual Report To Be Made Public Wednesday

Document expected to play large role in the NFL's labor negotiations as they look to strike a new CBA.

The Green Bay Packers will release their annual financial report to the media on Wednesday in advance of the team's shareholders meeting to be held on Thursday July 29 according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com.

Given the importance of the league's labor negotiations in this, the Final League Year of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, this document will be highly scrutinized by the owners, the players' union, the media and stakeholders across the entire NFL landscape.

Writes Florio:

Since the Packers are the only publicly-traded NFL franchise, their financial data must be made public.  The equivalent information for all other NFL teams may be shielded from public inspection.  The league's decision not to provide that information to the union has been a point of contention in the ongoing labor negotiations.

The Packers Financial Report or a soon to be answer to"FOR WHOM the BELL TOLLS".
Will this make some owners open their windows,or have the NFLPA licking their chops? My guess is both.
The fact is that the Packers are holding the "DAGGER" in the crime yet to have happened i;e 2011 shut down.
Regrettfully,it will be toward the Packers who all point fingers at for the nightmare to come.
With the release of this information and the "ACE in the HOLE" given to the NFLPA by it,the Packers may benefit greatly from this crime yet to be performed on the fans, the number of players wanting to play here may escalate greatly.
The downside will be guys like Jerry Jones will have us marked with the "X" every year for their PAYBACK opportunities.
I can live with the "X" marks the SPOT!!!
