Packers add three from practice squad for Vikings game

From Rob:

As Rob indicates, Barnes will fill the final spot on the 53 man roster (not Mack, as was originally reported) along with Lovett and Galeai being elevated to the gameday roster.

What is the elevated designation? Glad you asked.

For 2020, the NFL implemented a rule that allows teams to elevate up to two players per game from the practice squad to game-day roster.

Afterward, the team may return those two players back to the practice squad without exposing them to waivers.

While these are most likely depth moves to bolster the backend of the roster, there's certainly a chance one or all of these guys could contribute in a signifcant way on Sunday. Should be interesting to see how the team goes about utilizing them.

No word yet, which may mean they chose not to. It's not required.

Ok thanks Aaron. I would rather not lose Galeai and Samuels because of the positions they play along with the fact that both guys seemed to stand out in TC. Lovett is the other guy I could see a team like the Niners snagging so I'm glad at least 2 guys I want to see kept are protected by being on the 55 for the week.

The other 3 I want to see stick around on the PS then besides Samuels, are the new guys, Scoota Harris, Robert Foster and Daylon Mack. At least until we can get a feel for how they stack up to the guys we currently have on the roster.
