Packers activate Allen Lazard from injured reserve

Lazard caught 13 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns during the Packers’ first three games.

The Packers announced that they have activated Allen Lazard off of injured reserve.

The NFL Network reported last week that Lazard was still dealing with some soreness as he tried to come back from core muscle surgery, which undoubtedly made the decision to wait until the last possible moment to activate him an easy one for the team. (LaFleur indicated on Monday that Wednesaday was the deadline for the team to do so.)

Lazard caught 13 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns during the Packers’ first three games. He was injured in Week 3 in New Orleans.

Like this player a lot, concerned about him staying available, given lingering soreness. Sure hope he gets back and stays healthy, he'd be a big time adder right now. We need this player on the field and healthy.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him inactive on Sunday if he's not 100%. The team has been very conservative when it comes to bringing injured players back "too soon" so far this year.

We need him for the stretch run. With Brees out, that leaves the NFCW and Bucs to beat out for the 1 spot.

Have to go 5-2 at worst down the stretch to have a shot at the 1st seed. I'm especially worried about the game this weekend and vs TEN at home. Those are very bad matchups for us.

Agree. The only really good teams the Pack has played going 7-2 are Saints and Bucs. Got by Saints, crushed by Bucs.

As it looks now, the only two remaining good teams on the schedule are Colts and Titans. Run D is a real concern against these two. Pettine seems very "whatever" about stopping the ball carrier.

LeFleur's offensive play calling has been boring and predictable....he reminds me of a skinny McCarthy.....
