It wasn't pretty, but it worked.

sidenote: Christ I hope Shields didn't just knock himself out for the next game on that ill-advised attempt at a return on the pick.

Hope he did, that was just f'ing stupid. I get it, trying to make a play and all, but when you're running horizontally in the end-zone and you can see a guy zeroing in on you... SLIDE. This is/was a lesson he needed to learn. I'm sure the coaches will let him know too. I'm all for our playmakers making plays don't get me wrong, but you have to know when the risk outweighs the reward, that play was a perfect example of it just not being worth it, and now who knows if this will affect his availability.

Shields took a blow to the head that wasn't flagged. It was pretty obvious, the Rams player went shoulder first to his head. There should be a fine involved with that hit as well.

Shoulder to the head is fine. It's head to head that draws a flag.

Shields should be fined for his stupidity. 8 yards deep in the endzone when all other 21 players are inside the 20, its not like a kick return where the rest of the field is 40 yards away.

If Burnett gets a INT with that Lego hand I will buy every Packer fan a beer!

Sorry, but ugly should have been "Packers 2nd half offense".

Vanilla or not, that was pathetic.

For all the annoyances, felt the need to add:

"6 and 0 feels great."

Nice to be able to complain about the shortcomings of a winning team vs a losing team.

That Jennings drop was a little maddening. Reminded me a lot of the game at Detriot last year when he basically pitched the ball to the DB. This wasn't as bad, but still bad.

How about the Nelson drop? "Things we aren't used to seeing" for 500, Alex.

Aww, Murphy doesn't like any criticism of his pal, Greg Jenning. Don't deflect the Jenning drop was horrid.

Who is Greg Jenning, and what logic or inference did you use to establish that my comment about Nelson's drop at all indicates that I don't want to see this person criticized?

Anyone know when Burnett gets his cast off? Six weeks sounds reasonable.

Probably around 4-6 weeks.

That sounds about right, though it obviously depends on the nature of the break.

I had a non-displaced spiral fracture in my hand earlier this year (flag football, hello) and I was in a cast for a month and a splint for another 2 weeks. After that I was cast free but the doc said it would be another 6 weeks before the bone would be 100% rock solid. So, we'll probably see him in some sort of cast for at least the next 2 months.

You know being at the game you get to see somethings that you dont get to see on tv. One thing I noticed is that Clay Matthews seems kind of gimpy. I was watching him and it really appeared as if he wasnt firing off the line as hard and it seemed as if he was walking gingerly a lot in between plays.

And yet he had one of his most visibly dominant games. What can he do healthy?

The receivers usually have a bad game of drops each year... if they only have one this season and it's against the Rams, then I won't complain.

Better not happen again, though. ;-)

They had 5 last week, 3 this week. Not a trend yet, but it needs to stop.

Good win, but just enough on tape for every position coach to lay into each unit.

The drops were ugly no doubt, I just thought the entire offense looked like they were sleep walking through the second half. But a win is a win and I will take it. 6-0 with a great chance to be 7-0 at the bye week.

"I bow to a skill far greater than my own." But I felt like AR was forcing throws in the second half.

Maybe - but his presence on the field and play alone made the difference in the game. Put even a slightly lesser QB in there and it's nowhere near the blowout it was.

three drops on third down in the second half and all of the throws were on the money.

Not AR's fault IMO

I just watched that pathetic display and Moore looked halfway decent for just showing up. His receivers did him no favors.
