Packers 2019 Schedule and Opponents
Here is what we know about the Green Bay Packers 2019 schedule. We will continue to update things as we learn them.

Previous leak tracker:
When it comes to being a fan of the Green Bay Packers, few days matter more than schedule day and that day is today.
Of course, the first news started coming out Tuesday as we found out the Packers would open the season Sept. 5 at the Bears.
Now, we have an idea what the home schedule will be based off some rumors on Twitter.
So, from what I've been told, the Packers HOME schedule will be:
Wk 2 Minnesota
Wk 3 Denver
Wk 4 Philadelphia (possible TNF)
Wk 6 Detroit (possible MNF)
Wk 7 Oakland
Wk 9 Carolina
Wk 14 Washington
Wk 15 Chicago— Kyle Cousineau (@KCousineau09) April 17, 2019
We will keep updating things as they come along.
Tom Silverstein of PackersNews.com also verified the home opener against Minnesota as well as the Monday night game against the Lions.
#Packers play #Vikings at home Sept. 15 and #Lions at home Oct.14 (MNF), according to a source.
— Tom Silverstein (@TomSilverstein) April 17, 2019
Five weeks left open on the #Packers schedule. Weeks 8, 10, 11, 12, and 16. All road games.
At Minnesota, Kansas City, Los Angeles Chargers, and the San Francisco 49ers. Four opponents and the bye. Have to believe the BYE will fall between 10 and 12.— Kyle Cousineau (@KCousineau09) April 17, 2019
Huge primetime showdown in October — the Chiefs are hosting the Packers on Oct. 27 on Sunday Night Football, I'm told. Mahomes vs. Rodgers.

This would be perfect with no home games during the Michigan firearm deer season. I could make all 8 home games.

11-5 with a playoff birth. We will be well seasoned with regard to the new offensive system by the time we hit the playoffs. If injuries are minimal, we make a deep playoff run.

A lot of traveling after week 8, if this is how it shakes out. And a late bye.

5 out of the first 7 at home? Then a bye and 3 road games in a row (or 4 in a row on the road) weeks 10-13? Not sure I like this...
It could be good for an advantage for the new offense, but the late season will be brutal.

The bye week had to be 10, 11, or 12.
If it's week 10 then Packers are looking at 3 straight away games.
Looks like another year The Packers are going to have to start strong.

2015: 6-0 in first 6
2016: 2-1 (but 2-4 in first 6)
2017: 4-2

Looks like Week 11 bye. I really like that!
Plus we have 2 Thursday games in the first half which essentially means we have mini byes.
Week 4 is a Thursday night home game, which is huge that its home. Then we play at Dallas and have a MNF against Detroit, followed by a home game against Oakland.
This years schedule seems to flow much better.
There are no 3 straight road games this year either.
If this schedule is right, I like how its laid out a lot better then the last few years.
I don't really like the game after the bye week being at 49ers and the following week being at New York. Coast to coast games are never great.
But overall I like the way its laid out.

when was the last time GB ended the season with two away games. When do they stop opening seasons against NFC rivals. Do not like this setup

Littlejim51,
The NFL has been scheduling rivals at the beginning, and especially at the end of seasons for some time now.
Like this season opener match up - more dramatic than last season's super bowl opponents to the NFL. (Of course, I am definitely on board)
And the end of season conference match-ups usually decide some playoff scenario. They know ratings and $$$.

Home 6 of the first 9 weeks, and then only 2 of the last 8, with a bye in there somewhere? Doesn't seem realistic.

Interesting. This could be a mess for the team in a year of transition. Well, the NFL has become a week to week league. Well just have to see how this turns out.

This is brutal. The NFL did us absolutely no favors with VQ week 2, then b-t-b trips west, and a third after the bye and last 2 on road. Has Murphy teed off the whole world?

Sucks when the closest game for me to go to, would be @ The Giants. Would have been Carolina, but no they had to schedule them at Lambeau.
All in all, I am super stoked about the upcoming season, and can't wait to see what it entails. I do anticipate a playoff trip this year.

Affordable fix can be had for the road games at the Giants, 49ers & Chargers. I just checked.
Of course, prices here in Dallas are always higher than Spicolli. I need a connection again....

I don't mind it except for 4 or 6 on the road to close the year. BUT the Bye is before those 6 games and they play the 49ers and Giants right after the Bye...
It WILL take a little time for the Packers offense to start humming....Best to be home for those games and let the crowd and defense carry them a bit.
I LOVE the week 11 bye with the 2 "Mini Byes" like RC spoke about before the bye and before tough games vs the Queens and Cowgirlz.
RCPackerFan
April 18, 2019 at 06:35 am
Yeah, i don't necessarily like the 4 of final 6 games on the road either. And I think the 49ers will be a really tough team this year. But we are getting them right out of the bye. And we go from west coast to east coast right after the bye. But we are at the Giants who could be one of the worst teams in the league.
5 of our first 7 are at home. We really need to take advantage of that!
I do like that we don't have more then 2 away games in a row at any point. We have 2 sets of back to back road games, but we have 2 week breaks in between.
Overall i like how this schedule flows. I wish we had more home games later in the year but the away games aren't horrible.
Christopher Gennaro
April 18, 2019 at 04:59 pm
I don't know why anyone thinking the 49er's are going to be an easy one, especially at home. Think 49er's are going to very competitive this year.
Since'61
April 18, 2019 at 06:37 am
The last 6 games after the bye week are all against NFL rivals. 4 of them are on the road. If we start well those last 6 games will be all about winning the division and playoff seeding.
Two mini byes should help us survive until the late season bye week, although I hate Thursday Night Football. Those games reduce prep and healing time.
MLF will have plenty to deal with in his first NFL season as HC. Go Pack Go! THanks, Since '61
