I think Gary is the critical person to watch. He needs to demonstrate he can do more than: Look quick, look strong, ie looks like central casting sent what we’d all want a player to look like. However...no tangible production at Michigan and zero in the stat columns in his first action. Isn’t anyone else concerned about production and just not looking the part? He just runs full speed and doesn’t lay a hand on anyone...other than blockers.

Do you know exactly what his job assignment is on each play? Not everyone’s job is penetrate and rush the passer. Sometimes they are required to stay at home. When you look just at stats it’s a sign you don’t understand the game.

Ok, given your view Goody is a tool to spend a high first round pick for a space eater. Production is the measure for the edge position. I don’t want a faster Nick Perry.

Looking good in college against guys who’ll be teaching High School PE is different from looking good against pros who have lived in the weight room for years.

Look at Monsteravious Adams. It takes a while. Hell, Gilbert Brown was cut but he became a pretty good player. Give Gary a couple of years before you write him off.
