Hey Zach, couple problems with your free agent plan. The Packers always keep 7/8 dollars in reserve that usually gets rolled over. The draft class will take up 4/5 dollars. The restricted and exclusive rights free agents will also need some dollars, depending who you keep? That probably only leaves you around 25 dollars to spend assuming Nick Perry is cut. It sounds like the packers are going to resign Wilkerson and Campbell to 1 year deals, so now your probably down to 18/20 dollars to spend. I would go Dante Fowler Jr and Tre Boston and call it a day.

Agreed Kidflash. And I would like to resign Breeland as King is always hurt and Jackson is still developing. 6 dollars for Breeland?

Spotrac's assessment of cap space is pretty close to yours, which has us with $33 million available. If you assume as you and I do that the Packers will try to carry over about 7 or 8 million, that puts us at $25.

Wilkerson and Campbell are both going to be close to vet minimum,"prove-it", deals. Wilkerson is a pretty good bet, actually, as he's had pretty good availability prior to last year.

I've liked the Tre Boston idea every since is was first introduced here. I also really, really think we should try to get two solid offensive guards. Not some over 30 dudes but younger guys who have played as starters in the NFL.

There are actually about a dozen or more guys out there like this but I'll give you an example.....AJ Cann, who has started 59 games for Tennessee, is a former 3rd round pick whose rookie deal has ended. I mean, why wouldn't you offer this guy $5 million/year over 4 years?

Three or four FAs that will make our gameday roster in addition to bringing back Wilkerson and Campbell will help a lot more than shooting the majority of the wad on one guy, IMO.

Breeland is probably worth $6 million, or more. When that was first suggested to me I was skeptical, but the more that I've dug the more I think it's probably true. But here's the thing: We have our starters, we have Jackson, and if our safety situation gets fixed we have Tramon. All under contract already. If you think that Breeland is better than Williams or Jackson, or if you knew that either King or Alexander were going to miss a lot of time, then you might consider it, but that's a lot of money for a guy who isn't a starter unless somebody gets hurt. Would you pay $6 million a year for a backup QB?

I like the way you think old school. Tre Boston is a more realistic choice since Thomas really wants to be a Cowboy. Then if we fix the interior o-line with a reasonable free agent we should still have money for an edge rusher. I really like Zadarius Smith from the Ravens. He seems to have some nastiness to his game. Also I think there will be some surprising cap casualities available in the next 2 weeks that we havent yet considered.

I like the free agents you targeted...signing those two would be huge! I don't know why the Packers would resign Wilkerson takes big guys with leg/knee/ankle injuries an entire season to be effective again.

I had to be persuaded on Wilkerson, but when I realized how good his availability has been (until this last season, he had only missed 6 games in 6 years.) that kind of tilted me towards him instead of drafting a DE high in the draft.

And again, I'm offering a make-good deal with incentives. If he can stay healthy, he's a good player for us.

I do think Breeland is better than Williams and Jackson and you can never have too many good cover guys. With injuries and a lot of nickle and dime being played they will target our weakest cover guy and it is a passing league

Best advice for frequent migraines is excellent advice, but difficult to do. A high frequency in taking migraine medication, often leads to more frequent migraines.

A friend of mine had multiple migraines every week, until she came across a savvy physician who persuaded her to cut back on the pain relief tablets. The migraines were reduced from several a week, to one every few weeks. Okay, enough with the non-football stuff, I hope it helps.

Zach, You talk about Finley like he was a great packer tight end.

Do you realize in his 6 year career he only averaged:

37 catches per year.
464 yards per year.
3 touchdowns per year.
