Retaining Barry: How to tell the fan base you’re tanking without telling them you’re tanking.

If they do approach Coach Barry and let him know he will be relieved of his duties, will he THEN be defensive? Will he be aggressive?

Hmmmmm

Hiring Barry was an obvious mistake from the get-go. Is it ego, laziness or another other reason(s) why MLF cannot replace him immediately? Hopefully, its other reasons. Maybe he can't fire and hire without the approval of Gutes or MM? We had the same thing with Drayton last year. Except that this year, the Packers will not even make the playoffs. This defense has been found wanting - and its poor leadership under Barry is more than apparent. Great talent available but poor schemes that do not put his players in a position to be successful.

Being an avid hockey fan as well, I have seen many times where a new coach has been the simplest answer to turning a team around. Now, football is far more complex and has many more players/moving parts. But these players seem to be losing their morale as well as fundamentals. I can't remember seeing worse tackling as I did against PHI. When that happens, a new coach is absolutely required.

But, I suspect that the thought of replacing midseason is just too much multitasking for MLF to handle. Just another of his many weaknesses as a HC...

It's definitely not the ideal time to fire Joe Barry. That was several weeks ago. But now that the season is lost, there's still time to see what they have in Jerry Gray.

Berry may well need to be fired......................but I wouldn't do it midseason, I'd wait until the season ends and do it that way.

Any other team would have already fired him but not the Packers , no owner so nobody stomping their feet , probably will give Barry next season to see if he can turn things around, Mark Murphy has no balls he must be non binary .

Ross how can you like Montgomery? The D line has been trash for years. 300 rushing yards against his unit. He should be out the door just as fast as Barry. Come on dude
