What a day. Numerous reports came out Thursday stating Aaron Rodgers is unhappy with the Packers and wants out of Green Bay. After numerous trade rumors, Rodgers was not moved, and the Packers selected Eric Stokes with the 29th pick. Andrew Mertig, Kyle Fellows, and Maggie Loney are here to sort everything out.

The Board is elected. Then the Board elects the Executive Board, which hires the President.
The President hires the GM to manage football operations. The GM hires the head coach. He also is in charge of scouting and personnel.
This is a model structure, infinitely preferable to the caprices of an owner.

The #1 reason people leave a job is that they hate the boss. Football is the same thing.
Let's suppose Rodgers is as bad as his haters say. I don't think he is, but let's say he is. Still, I'd say Gute and Murphy and MLF should bury their egos and do what it takes to keep him quiet and... winning.
Winning is all that matters for a coach or GM. Lose and get fired.
So fine, think of him as a toddler, but treat like him like he's the only reason you win because he is.

I can't believe what the Bears gave up to get Justin Fields. I mean, I get it. But damn, they give away first round picks like they are mini-snickers and it's Halloween.

I’ve been gathering info on the whole Rodgers situation all morning.
It appears that Rodgers believes the Packers have reneged on a promise to trade him this off-season, and that he has allegedly stated he will not play for Green Bay this season. If I take that at face value, it kind of sucks because I thought we had a real good team this season.
Apparently, trading Rodgers AFTER June 2 moves the needle about $20 million.
Denver, SF, and the Raiduhs are apparently Rodgers preferred spots.
This would make Love the starter.

SF is out after a QB with third pick in draft and they have no first round picks to trade in the next two drafts so no chance. Raiders only have 6 million in cap space. Couldn’t take on Rodgers deal. Packers can’t take any of raiders high $ players in a trade due to their own cap situation. Denver should have the cap space. Not sure what draft and player assets they have. Still have to wait post June 2nd to complete any deal. I heard today that more than half the league cannot take Rodgers in a trade and NFC is out entirely due to same conference as packers. After several teams just drafted rookie QBs it removes them as well.
If we can get a huge haul in top end draft choices along with some young cheap but stud players from Denver maybe do a trade post June 2nd. If not, I’m okay Rodgers wants to take his ball and go home and retire vs play for Green Bay. Gives us a little cap relief, more than if we trade him prior to June 2nd.
Move on and rally around a new team.

If this happens, the problem is that dealing for future draft picks means you're likely getting picks later in round 1, not earlier. Hard to recoup value that way.

What information did you gather ? Third party speculation or actually names with statements ? I'm asking a serious question , any statement from Rodgers or from the packers , or just ESPN trying to boost their diminishing ratings?

To those who keep screaming the Packers had the #1 Offense, the best OL, the best RB, the best WR, and all the other things they believe to be the best, you forget how much of Rodgers it takes to make them seem like the best. They haven't proven crap without Rodgers under center, or have I missed all that awesomeness when he was out that resulted in missed playoffs and the inability to win that highly coveted Divisional Title.
Has anyone thought of the collateral damage if Rodgers is gone now or in June? Would Adams be so quick to take a team deal, if he even considered it in the first place? What about others that were assumed to remain?
I see Rodgers doing what Manning did for Denver. The only question for the Packer FO is this, which of Lock or Bridgewater do they want until Love is ready?
The Raiders are out of this scenario as Gruden is far too much of an ego for even Rodgers to attempt to deal with, wherein Denver, he'll get to call the shots on and off the field.

Curious about your thoughts on Adams. I've wondered if Adams has a pause on contract talks waiting to see how things play out. I have to imagine, he is very interested in knowing who will be tossing balls his direction.

Remember what the Packers looked like when AR was hurt?
Did Adams throw himself the ball? Did Baki's pass protection make Kizer or Hunley look better than they were? Did Aaron Jones, J. Williams & the OL carry the team with an unstoppable ground game? Nope. AR is the "special sauce".

There was so much fan whining, Gute probably felt he had to draft a QB in case AR when down for a few games again and the Packers missed the playoffs again. He and MF would be out and 79 year old Bill Parcells would be the new coach & GM. That's about where I think the "blame Rodgers" crew is at.

Starting a new rumor Rodgers for Wilson trade coming June 1st. Both are unhappy where there at. Rodger wanting to move west and Wilson to the Mid-west. It would make since for both teams. Bring the man home to Wisconsin.....

Why? The obvious, Aaron gets his out, we move on, major cap implications that benefit team going forward with a QB on a rookie contract. Adams will be in his enemy year next year and will break the bank anyway--let that be Denver's liability. Love is a TIGER, and we don't want his receivers to be opposing energy (MONKEY) which Adams is. Listen, I told y'all Gute should NOT sign Bahk to an extension early given his enemy year was on deck. Look what happened. The Rodgers mess, Gute's doing is manifesting in the Packers enemy year of the OX, which Gute is also, making him a scapegoat, and he will only financially compound it if he commits to Adams with Love as QB. Should he do that, I would consider him a goner as Gute opposes GOATS Murphy & LaFleur. Courtland Sutton is a PIG, which is the secret friend of the TIGER would probably work with Love, but I prefer precise route runner / youth with Jeudy, a CAT. The first round picks will be late with Denver competing for Super Bowls in the foreseeable future, but at least we get the 5th year option on the picks.
