"Never Say Never" on Green Bay Super Bowl

The President and CEO of the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, Brad Toll, refuses to close the door on the possibility of Lambeau Field hosting a Super Bowl, going so far as to say "never say never."

When speaking with Jay Sorgi from WTMJ 620 in Milwaukee, Toll said:

"This is about football, about tradition...this experience would be like none other the Super Bowl has ever had...."

WTMJ 620 created a four part series discussing the logistics of Lambeau Field hosting a Super Bowl. Read the first part where Sorgi and Toll analyze the stadium and practice facilities options for a Green Bay Super Bowl.

Minny had one in the Humpty Dump I believe, and so did Detroit in the Silverdome and at Ford Field.

If the owners are willing to have a SB in New York's cold, GB wouldn't be that much more of a stretch in February.

It's the lack of hotels and road infrastructure that is the real problem. So: Never.

And that's too bad.

Yeah, not sure if the area Applebee's would really cut it for the high rollers.

Thats the real issue. Not enough for the high rollers do. Not like snowmobiling is an option for them.

It would be so kool as in neato jet if they held it in GB in the dead of Winter. Won't happen but for the fans in GB, they deserve it.
The NFL has no sense of humor.

PS, the did hold it in Detroit one year and it was a disaster for them advertising wise. I think they are avoiding the North Country like the plague, even the domed stadiums.

The Super Bowl is a game that most real fans watch and the bourgeois class attend. Green Bay just doesn't have the elitest infrastructure, but then again, I wouldn't have thought Detroit circa 2006 did either.

For once, I agree with Cow. "Never"

But it would be awesome.
