Mike's Best and Worst: New England Week 9

A look at the best and worst decisions Mike McCarthy made in the loss to the New England Patriots.

Lots of talk online this week about Mike McCarthy and the job he's doing as head coach of the Green Bay Packers, so we thought we'd bring back an old CHTV chestnut, Mike's Best & Worst.

It's easy to get caught up in the tidal wave of online negativity when looking at McCarthy's performance each week, but believe it or not, he makes some good decisions too. Each week we'll catalouge one of the good ones and one of the bad ones. This isn't close to exauhstive, but a simple conversation starter with the hope that people will focus on the entirety of the coach's performance.

“Situations dictate”: so, if GB trails by 3 at halftime, can we expect them to throw on every down in the second half? It sure feels like it, though I have no data. Just my gut. (Which, btw, makes it very easy for me to count to six.)

I hate to say it, but we should not be playing like this having the best QB on the planet. The play calling is stale at best. There is nothing innovative. AR is having to always make the big play, and I see nothing being done to gain separation for the receivers to allow easier throws for Aaron. The average fan can see this, so why can't Mike?

I think Rodgers is tired of dealing with McCarthy, I think McCarthy is tired of dealing with Rodgers,

Time for a divorce.
