McCarthy: No Plans to Add a Running Back

McCarthy: No Plans to Add a Running Back

The Packers entered Sunday's match up against Washington lean in depth at the running back position, with only three true running backs - two of them rookies, and one full back.

Sunday's game saw the position depth become even thinner. Eddie Lacy left the game with a concussion and John Kuhn suffered a hamstring injury. Despite the injuries, the lack of depth does not appear to have coach Mike McCarthy worried.

Hint,hint -- Johnathan Franklin???

Yes. Let's get some screens going. Little dump offs to a guy like Franklin will open up the downfield passing game - and vice versa. A balanced attack led by Rodgers will be SICK. I can't wait.

I think were good unless something happens this week cross fingers.

Did you watch the game? He's committed, stop bullshitting the Coach.

If they pick up another back, they have to drop someone. With a bye after this week, they'll have plenty time to get everyone healthy.

I was kind of disappointed he didn't trot Franklin out yesterday (unless he was inactive?) in the second half. Was he just rewarding Starks for his performance? With the holes that the line was creating, it would have been fun to see Franklin show off his speed

What a shame. Dr. Samkon Gado is out there for the taking and McCarthy is twiddling his thumbs.
