This weekly is turning out some really good substantive discussions.

A couple points:
Good discussion on why Adams got all the passes. Nagler - good answer on Packers having other options beside WR's - ie. RBs and TEs to throw to. But AJ wasn't available so that limits the options a bit. Lets see what happens these next few weeks when Adams is bound to be doubled.

Kudo's for calling out some bad habits creeping back into AR's action. I get 'thumb downed' big time on posts when I bring that up. But it's not because I want to be 'miserable'. It's because every player can improve and every player/coach needs to look at what to work on next.

Before the season I peeked at Billy Turner's cap savings for 2021, but I think that's a moot point now: he is almost certain to be a Packer in 2021.

I like a good rant when I hear or read one, but I am not persuaded. I have sympathy for the notion that a GM should draft any player the GM thinks could become a franchise QB. It is just a difference in philosophy mostly: I think GB has a window to win the super bowl and I would have focused on that. I don't think the window is five years, closer to three. That is due to AR's age, and the Smiths x 2 and Turner being under contract through 2022, at which time they will be 30, 31, and 32. Taking the guy with good size and a big arm who can't read a defense and is a project fits the philosophy of keeping a consistent quality team on the field long-term. There is nothing wrong with that: I just don't mind following a lousy team if the GM is smart.

I can't say that the sixty-four players taken in the 2nd and 3rd rounds have many players making an immediate impact. Helaire-Edwards might be a direct replacement for Aaron Jones, and Higgins, Shenault and Claypool probably would make GB a better team now and might be good WRs long-term. If the standard since GB is 5-1 is that the alternative player would have had to make GB go 6-0, that's a high bar. My standard is whether the player would help GB win playoff games.

I get it. The Packers talent was extremely depleted when Gute took over. He has done a lot to get it fixed but just has not went all in on Championship winning moves after last years run. I wanted Claypool and the same RB you mentioned w/ next yrs. #1 not because of Jones but insurance for injury. Also in the mix a good DT next to Clark in Free Agency. It is beyond frustrating.
