Kentrell Brice signs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The former Packers safety could never deliever on the promise he showed his rookie year.

Former Packers safety Kentrell Brice will be joining the Buccaneers

A former undrafted free agent, Brice could never quite live up the promise he showed his rookie year.

He finishes his time in Green Bay with 91 tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, one interception and six passes defended.

It seems sort of telling that so many Packers FA this year are only getting one year deals mostly those that were in the secondary.

Glad he's gone. Let him be somebody else's problem.

It was definitely time to move on from Brice. Good luck KB. Now, let's get another good safety!

If you want a safety, just run the gut from your own one yard line.

Hopefully Brice doesn't take out Gerald McCoy.

6 passes defended in his career is pathetic, proves he could not cover , he made some nice tackles when he made contact but that was about it.

The Packers seemed to have a number of players that regressed in their performance last year. I tend to think a part of that was a lack of quality positional coaching.

It'll be interesting to see if last years players perform better this year, both on the team or elsewhere.

No, by their second year teams have film on them and expose their limitations as pro players. These young guys will now either establish their legacy as a D Backfield that made plays to win superbowls or another clown show. 7 picks for a defense is pathetic. Pass rush has to show up and hurry the QB. Now Amos is there for stabilty. The CBs as a tandem are very good. King's availabity ? Maybe his luck will change.

I was hoping he'd sign in the NFC North like HaHa did. They don't play the Bucs this season.

It's too bad. Tampa did well getting a speedy multi talented ferocious hitting ascending player. Played hurt all last season similar to Davante his sophomore year. Should have kept him IMPrO. So far today we lost Breeland and Brice both young ascending players. Not one of Gutey's better days that I will tell you.

KB has always been overglorified. I’m sorry. He had a few strong hits, some more memorable *pops* but was never starting caliber material.

I think he has the speed and the ferocity to be a great safety. He needs to be comfortable in what he's doing. For some the mental part is the obstacle. Jeff Janis is one that comes to mind. Brice is young and was playing on fumes last year being injured. I like this kid's potential to ascend to possible greatness if he's healthy and comfortable in his assignments. The Packers did not like the Brice for that price apparently but the Brice was right for Tampa. Had to get that in there one more time. I wish the kid well. This one like Breeland leaving hurts.

Brice will be out of football in another year...same as Hundley.

Breeland got $5 Mil plus a lot of incentives to further pad his earnings and a sure chance to start in KC. I am sure Gutey tried to get Breeland back but he could not offer him a likely starting slot as KC could.

Brice is probably playing for lunch money.

Brice looked lost in coverage all too often and had a propensity to try and tackle the opponent high which often led to missed tackles. I don’t think it will be too difficult to find an upgrade at the position.

Can't say I'm disappointed Brice is gone. Tampa Bay can have him. I doubt he becomes a starter for the Bucs. Packers need to fill the position with more talented players than Brice. No big loss.

We all knew Brice was not a starting caliber player who was ever going to help the Packers ascend back to where most of us want the team to be. Brice was an ok back-up but will never be a quality starter.

However, he was never a problem player in the locker room on or off the field that I know of. I know he played injured giving his all. It wasnt his fault TT and company ran the talent depth in the ground forcing him to start. I just hate when Packer fans show disrespect to our own.

I'm glad the Brice experiment is over. Hopefully resign Ibrahim Campbell to take his spot.

Another one of TTs undrafted gems that he got so much credit for. Every year it was article after article about all the UDFAs that made the roster, never mentioning how they were just replacing last year's UDFAs who never should have made the roster the previous year. Brice had a 1st round combine and UDFA game tape. Looks like we know which one meant anything

I wish Brice well, but I've never been a fan of "big hitters" who are out of position most of the time. Sadly, Brice's "biggest hit" was taking out his teammate Wilkerson. Sigh.

A sp teams guy at best. It just shows how bad the talent level was in the secondary.

An UDFA might try to present himself as a “big hitter,” but it’s not a viable long-term strategy.

To much dogging on Brice. He was what he was.
He had talent and he was in position to make plays. He just didn't. He looked, slow and confused a lot.

That is on coaching and GM.
He should NEVER have been a starter as was clear and posted many times prior to the year starting.

But he has great potential. Failure on front office and coaching just the same as Hyde and Randall.

When both the position coach and player call out the position it inot their issue

The thing about sub-replacement level players is that they are easily replaced.
