I’m all-in!
We’re going to have a lot to celebrate tonight, tomorrow & Saturday.
If you’ve never pounded in on CHTV’s Draft Party, I highly recommend your jumping on in. Superfun watching it go down with friends here and the CHTV crew. A number of super high quality surprise guests too.
Fun Factor +11.
The diabolical side of me wants the Packers to draft a Kicker just to see Corey turn into that Stranger Things gooey, smokey, bubbly portal center.

Aaron the new Jet's GM/QB will want it to be either an OT, or a WR! If I'm Gutey I'd 'almost' want to forget my preferred pick out of spite and take the player he knows AR & the Jet's want. Who holds a grudge & loves to poke the bear?

I believe DB is a hell of a nice human being and a guy I'd enjoy having over for a drink, but he also is a very good friend of AR's, and he is PR savvy. Whether he wants to be a Packer or a Jet doesn't really matter as he will give it his all once the game starts. David is a guy you can always count on doing his best.

And with the 13th pick of the 2023 NFL draft, Green Bay selects from the University of Michigan......Kicker....Jake Moody. I kid, I kid....
Seriously, I'm really excited for this draft. I have a bottle of Noah's Mill Small Batch Bourbon and some tailgate food consisting of charcoal grilled, 60 day dry aged ground brisket burgers on homemade Brioche buns with a 2 year aged swiss with mushrooms. It's gonna smell like the butthole of a dead skunk in my house, but the taste will be rewarding. I can't start all this until 5:30 central time today, so I'm hoping for a trade down. I want to (might need to be) well into my bourbon before our 1st pick. Have a fantastic night Packer fans. Thanks CHEESEHEADTV for all your hard work, insight, and subscribers.

Funny Cray!
Had several brothers back in the day who used to smoke marijuana & would tell my dad how amazing their experiences. Now my father has been gone for a good number of years now was a pretty straight laced fellow being retired military. His poison was bourbon! Big time bourbon guy but would never consider doing anything illegal such as marijuana back in the day. At the time, he rolled his own cigarettes.
Well, when my brothers shared their stories my father never said anything. However, some weeks later my father went looking for wild marijuana and allegedly found some in a ditch. He cut it and then placed in the oven to dry it. Once it was out of the oven he rolled the alleged marijuana and added the filter he used when rolling his cigarettes. The next time all of us boys showed up at the house he in his firm voice said "all of you are full of s__t! Then he told his story about what he did and he never felt a thing. Still to this day I find myself laughing over my father with this story. Don't even know if he had found poor ditch marijuana, or some weed. Gummies were not around back then but what my father should have tried.
Google Delta 9 gummies, and Wanna gummies!

They’re CBD. They help with relaxation/stress/sleep/inflammation.
Heard about them awhile back, tried them. For me, the anti-inflam is the best benefit. I still (pretend to) work out, and if I skip taking a gummy at bedtime, I am much more sore the next morning.

I enjoy Bourbon but not familiar with Noah's Mill Small Batch Bourbon. What is the mash bill percentages for corn, rye, & barley? I have 15 oak barrels and make a variety of Manhattan's letting everything sit in the charred barrels for 4 to 6 months. I usually use two Bourbons and a Whisky in my variety of Manhattan mixtures. Have experimented with many Bourbons over the years!

Personally I am hoping Jaxon Smith-Njigba falls and Packers pick him at 13 and Darnell Washington is still available at 42 or Packers trade up with the 45th pick if they think they are going to miss Jaxon or Darnell.
"GREEN BAY, Wis. – Each team is allowed 30 visits with NFL Draft prospects. Thanks to Instagram and solid reporting, we know the identities of 26 of those players. (Note: STR counted 27 on Sports Illustrated's list)
When Ted Thompson was general manager, the visits were used mostly for medical/character checks and undrafted free agent recruiting. There’s some of that with current GM Brian Gutekunst, as well, but the Packers brought in eight players who could wind up going in the first round."
Based on the 33 players various websites:
Sports Illustrated
Fan Nation
Acme Packing Company
Dariyland Express
CBS Sports
Packers Wire/USA Today
list as college players that have visited the Packers:

I suspect 4 teams with higher picks than GB are okay with trading down. I am not too concerned as I think there is not only a lot of parity between the 13th best prospect and the 35th, and I think the quality stays high well into the thirties. GB should get 3 nice prospect.
I'd love it if Paris Johnson dropped. Run to the podium. I feel the same about Skoronski.
Mayer, Wright, JSN, Jones, and Van Ness, these guys are interchangeable in terms of quality. Perhaps one of the turns out great, but I wouldn't spend a nickel betting on one of them over the others. All except Mayer would be fine at 13 and I would hate Mayer that high.

Do you think the Jets picked McDonald for themselves? I don’t know the mechanics of how such a trade will work, Rarescope, but I do know AR will get slaughtered behind the Jets #32 ranked OL.

Murphy is the more refined player with a greater repertoire, Van Ness is an out and out power rusher. Mayer should be better out of the box, while Van Ness has more upside potential.
While I chose Murphy, I'm not surprised the Packers went for upside - it's what they like to do with early picks.

Lukas Van Ness -
40 TIME: 4.58 SECONDS (96%*)
AGE: 21.9 DOB: 07/06/2001
Iowa
NFL Draft Buzz strengths and weaknesses are below.
NFL.com had him as the 27th ranked player, others:
ESPN 11
CBS 16
PFF 14
DN 31
SN 23
ALET 10
His average ranking was 22.3.
NFL Draft Buzz
SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS
Very athletic player who is nicknamed “Hercules” by teammates. Looks like he was carved out of stone standing 6-5 and weighing in at 275lbs
He’s flexible enough to bend the edge, and he’s at his best when Van Ness can use his quickness and change-of-direction abilities to counter back inside.
Plays with leverage at the point of attack whether inside or outside. Keeps eyes in the backfield when inside; moves linemen to either side with strong hands.
High level of functional strength and an elite ability to convert speed to power
His spin move is already NFL-caliber, and he displays a very good motor
Gets very good leverage and has exceptional lower leg strength
He’s very instinctive when it comes to countering and solid with overall hand usage
Has very powerful hands - gets under blocker's pads and easily drives them backward
As a pass rusher, he shows quickness off the line and has the fluid athleticism and flexibility to bend the edge.
Combines excellent power with initial quickness, but one of his best attributes are his violent hands, which he uses with impressive precision
Long arms with an elite tackle radius along with an always-on motor
SCOUTING REPORT: WEAKNESSES
Plays too tall, and doesn't have the elite speed to easily beat top-level tackles on the edge
Doesn't anchor consistently and can not be knocked of balance
He’s susceptible to cut blocks, a tactic that was used on him often
Has limited experience - has played just two years of college football
Struggles recognizing blocking schemes
Has been able to dominate a college with power - this won't be possible at the next level where he'll need a greater set of rushing tools
Van Ness doesn’t show much in the way of dynamic change-of-direction ability on counter moves, and also has a limited repertoire of pass-rushing moves
SCOUTING REPORT: SUMMARY
Lukas Van Ness is a good pro prospect, with ideal size and elite power for the position. In his final year at Iowa, he played at an elite level as he logged 9 sacks and huge 31 total hurries on the edge. He however is a little raw and while having outstanding power is inexperienced and only has a limited array of pass-rushing moves and so may struggle to adapt to the pro game.
Van Ness may be over-drafted due to his power and production, although currently, we regard him as a day-two selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

I gave you first time upvote for bringing to the site scouting report.
This scouting report is very well contradictory, so it shows us that scouts have very different opinions on Luke Van Ness. By my opinion based on past drafts and scouting reports from past, this guy have huge chance to turn out to be true blue collar player. I noticed that when scouts have different opinions on player, that player excelles in NFL.
And last remark is that your opinion is just BS.

I'm surprised none of you were wishing for JSN here. Love NEEDS help, more that TWO 2nd year WR's and Josh Degurua at TE...
Barry couldn't do shit with seven 1st round picks on the defense already, do they think 8 will make any difference?

If Brian Branch is on the board at #42, do the Packers select him?

Yesterday evening I watched the CHTV NFL Draft Party for the first time.
It was very impressive and very enjoyable!
I want to THANK YOU, CHTV and, ALL of the very interesting Packer Fan participants and guests for making the Draft Night Party such a memorable experience.
CHTV and Packer fans are the best!
