John Kuhn Re-Ups With Packers

Fullback John Kuhn has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal to remain in Green Bay.

After testing free agency, fullback John Kuhn has decided to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers.

According to Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette via Twitter, "John Kuhn is coming back to the #Packers. His agent says he has signed a three-year deal to return."

Multiple sources have said Kuhn's deal will make him one of the highest-paid fullbacks in the NFL.

With Korey Hall leaving for the New Orleans Saints and Brandon Jackson for the Cleveland Browns, Kuhn's role on the team probably became a little more valuable to the Packers.

Kuhn can play the role of lead blocker, short-yardage runner and third-down pass protector and receiver, which makes him about as versatile as a 250-pound running back can be.

Dude's almost as slow as Paul Ott Carruth, but somehow he gets it done. Probably by going north-south.
He can pass pro on third down too.

Good to see. Now, does Q.Johnson make the team, or do all of the TE/HBack's take his place?

Good question. I guess we have to see how training camp plays out.

Okay. The offense is set. We have all the WRs we need, all the TEs we need, the OL is basically set, with solid depth, the RBs are set, and we now have our 3rd down back.

Let the great repeat begin.

Extremely happy to have Kuhn back in the fold. Been waiting to here this since FA started.

I hope we keep all 5 TEs and at least 6 WRs, we don't need to keep Quinn Johnson anymore so that frees up one spot.

So for RB we have: Grant, Starks, Green
FB are Kuhn and Johnson. We lost Jackson and Hall (but with the addition of Green we're -1 in that HB/FB group?)

The tough cuts are going to be at TE and WR.

I don't see how Quinn makes the team unless he really shows something to the coaches this year. I think there may be more upside with the new guys if one were to show something in practice. Gotta hope.

Is "highest paid fullback" an oxymoron?

I'm no Q.Johnson fan, but I hope they don't rely on Raji to get a yard everytime. I mean, it said something that they even used him instead of Q, but he's paid too well to do that except for NFCC or such.

Of course, with Finley and now JJ, they could probably run a jump ball on short yardage, to both sides and see who has the better matchup.

Just my pride that Green Bay would be able to pound out a yard at will. Sure beats reading about the US deficit :)
