Jenkins Out Another Week & Other Injury News

Cullen Jenkins will not be back in time for the game against the New York Giants, but both Nick Collins and Frank Zombo could play this Sunday.

Mike McCarthy indicated this afternoon during his Monday press conference that Cullen Jenkins would miss another week but could be available for the final game of the regular season against the Chicago Bears.

McCarthy also suggested that the rib injury suffered by Nick Collins was "a little better than we anticipated" and that Collins had a chance to play this week. Atari Bigby came into the game against the Patriots when Collins went out.

Also, outside linebacker Frank Zombo, who suffered a knee injury toward the end of the Lions game,  seems to have a decent chance of playing on Sunday against the Giants.

We've had so many injuries, I'd like to know what the recovery status is of all the injured players. Could any play now if they hadn't gone on IR. (Finley) ? Not for second guessing MM- just curious.

It's tough to say because they treat the recovery and rehab differently.

Finley had the staph infection set back which delayed his rehab. Doubt he would have been back in time to help this season

You wouldn't be second guessing Mike as Ted makes all final personnel decisions (based on recommendations from the coaching staff I'm sure).

They had better tackle better than they did last night if they expect to beat the Gigantes. Jacobs/Bradshaw are pretty formidable, and they have 2 big wideouts in Manningham and Nicks that have been known to break a tackle or two.

Manning threw his 20th interception of the season yesterday, matching his career high during the 2007 season.

Packers will have some opportunities in the secondary for some turnovers against him.

Geez, Jenkins!

I sure hope Jolly's been working out. I don't see how they can pay this guy. Man, he's good. Wish Big Sexy could stay healthy.

Not sure if anyone has posted yet. So here’s the playoff scenario, it’s as simple as win both and we’re in.

First we have to beat NYG next week to have the head-to-head tiebreaker. If we lose to NYG, it’s over. When we win though, we can lose to the Bears and still have the tiebreaker if they beat the Redskins.

If we end up tied with TB at 10-6 or 9-7, we’re going to be ahead of TB based on the 5th tiebreaker. We have to beat NYG and match TB record hoping in their last two games they don’t outscore their opponents by more than 123 points plus whatever it takes us to beat NYG.
1.Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). - VOID
2.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. - VOID
3.Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
GB: DET W, WAS L, ATL L, SF W, DET L (2-3=40%)
TB: ATL L, SF W, ATL L, WAS W, DET L (2-3=40%)
4.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference
Both 6-4 with 2 conf games left
5.Strength of victory.
GB +113 TB -10

Like I said in the first sentence, its win both and we’re in…

Nice job, Beep. Now, can you play safety, linebacker or D-line?

I'm about the same size as Nick Collins and might be as fast as him based on how slow he looked on Sunday night...sadly, my football days were over freshman year of high school when I was one of those kids that were only 5' tall.
