Jason Wilde Deserves A Raise...

...for this column about what Favre should have been saying anywhere in his 'interview' with Van Susteren.

Favorite passage:

At any point during his chat with Van Susteren, did you hear Favre say anything remotely about the team and its potential?

No. It was all about him.

He said in passing that he liked his teammates and had fun with them, but he should've said, "I want to come back because I know we can win it all this year. We were 13-3 last year, made it to the NFC Championship Game with the youngest team in the league, and we'd have been in the Super Bowl if not for my overtime interception against the Giants. We've got a great team, and I want to be a part of it."

Read the whole thing. It is terrific.

AMEN BROTHA!!! However, the "I will come back as a backup" is a teeny bit far fetched. No future hall of famer is going to be holding a clipboard!

Why would he need to say anything about the potential? That should be obvious since Brett led the youngest team in the league to the NFC title game. Why would he need to mention that?

Wilde is garbage, and should've been fired a long time ago. He has done nothing but bitch and moan about Favre for the past few years. And he does so in an unprofessional, sophomoric manor.

It's a god damn shame that so many other media types has joined him in his obvious life long quest to tarnish the name of the greatest football player of our era.

Unprofessional and sophomoric? For a second there I thought you were talking about Favre's interview with Van Susteren... ;)

Nope, clearly I was talking about Wilde. I love it how in the article he talks about the pro-Favre group of people who have no credibility because they make excused for all of his interceptions. Wilde has just as little credibility as those people because of his anti-Favre bias that is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum as those people.
Especially when he probably didn't even watch any of those games. He puts 100% of the blame on Favre for not going to the Super Bowl this year for his interception in overtime. That tells me that he didn't watch the game, and just watched highlights of the game. How can someone like that have any credibility?
